I cut up a lot of squirrels and rats to feed to my hawk. Shears are much nicer for this than a knife. I've been using a $2 pair of utility shears from harbor freight, but they're wearing out and I'd like something better.

Does anybody here have an experience with game shears? I don't care if they're kitchen shears or even metal shears, just as long as they're reasonably lightweight and will cut through everything from squirrel skin to rabbit bones.

Dunno. They were orange handle. Came apart for cleaning. Slot for bone breaking.

Maybe try some really good garden shears. I got my mom some 15 years ago for her roses. They are still very sharp and cut good. I'll see if I can figure out where I got them.

I have two pairs, a Kershaw and a Buck. Both are very good.
