I know, he has fast, but so was Trindon Holiday... We all know Trindon had some great plays, but he never really did pan out to be "as good" as he could. Do you think Jeryl will be the same or will be an LSU star? I'd love to know.

You have a reason? Or just feel that way? I have no idea on how to feel.

At the very worst, I think he's a great kick returner and solid player depending on where he plays. Key words are at worst

Eh? Some people questioned LSU even recruiting him because of his size and because he was very under the radar as a national recruit. For a specialist first guy, he made a decent number of plays on offense.

The only thing that limited his impact was that LSU didn't use him all that much as a RB, but then again, LSU didn't need another RB for the most part. And Miles loves all purpose RBs, not RBs that you have to build a gameplan around.

Never in my life have I heard an announcer say a returner was "gone" at the 25 yard line.

I doubt I ever hear it again.

FTR, I think it was an Ole Miss game.

ETA: found the vid LINK

It appears it was near the 30

From spending an entire game trying to tackle him, my son said Brazil's even quicker than he appears on film, but the thing that really impressed him was how strong he is, for not being a huge guy. And he's tackling Nick Brossette in practice very day, who is s pretty good running back himself.

Dive, dive, 2 step pitch to Brazil to wide side. Been a long time since we saw someone blast around the corner. No sense recruiting athletic QB's Randall and Jennings if we never use them.

Having talked with a defensive coach that had to scheme against both Skyler Green and Jeryl Brazil, he said Brazil is better than Green was.

Watch the highlights of him playing UHigh. You will never compare him to TH again. This kid has really nice football skills. Him being super fast is just a plus. He would still be a D-I player even if he wasn't that fast. You can't say that for TH

I think "star" will depend on what position he plays. I don't think he can be compared to Holliday at all. Huge difference between 5'6 160+ and 5'9ish 190+. Brazil is short, that's it. He's a well built kid and very naturally strong for that size.
