I liked the episode for what it is. For the guy hoping they speed it up, better not wait too much because tet have a season and a half left of this show. They will slow shite down
I still think they had intended at one point to use Barneys sister as the mother but once it became such a big theory on the internet they scrapped it. They want that big reveal.
But i likedthe twist and the episode overall.

I thought tonight was a great episode. Was pretty funny and you could tell the writers had the theory that Ted would marry Barney's sister in mind when they wrote it. I'm not that mad that the theory is out now because I'm pretty sure we'll get a full season to see the relationship between Ted and the mother.
Oh and Barney's sister is really hot 
Also, has anyone else noticed how much they are turning Lily's character into a whore now? I feel like that's all she does now is get really horny for random reasons

Not necessarily speeding it up, but just give us some plot advancement. At least they've started to get the ball rolling. Wonder how many more episodes until the wedding? Or it probably will just be the finale maybe?

Decent episode last night though. I liked that the majority of the episode was about Barney moving on from one night stands...they need to show him growing up a bit and moving on from being a man whore, since that's natural as you age, get married, etc.
Marshall and Lilly both annoy the shite out of me though.

Yeah, but I kinda saw that coming because of all the flash forwards and what not. Now they have said that the wedding takes place in May 2013, so they have no choice but to make the wedding this season. The only thing that I'm curious to see is how much we get to see the mother. Are they just going to show them meeting and have the season end with Ted saying "And that's how I met your mother"? Or will they show her character more than that and go a little more into them meeting each other?

I think that's your overwhelming hatred of Jason Segel talking. They actually weren't that bad last night.
Also, on that note, I caught a part of a rerun the other day where Marshall was singing the "You just got slapped" song. It made me think of how far from its peak this show is right now.

As new parents, I feel I relate more to them than the other characters. I've pretty much loved their storylines post-baby, especially Lily's confession about resenting her child.
And I loved Marshall's freakishly large hand. Also, the Snap and Crackle joke had a perfect payoff later in the episode ("Hop on Pop")

Sadly, what dictates who the mother will be is who is available to film a whole season of shows for next season.
I have a feeling that Elisha Cuthbert, Eliza Coupe, Dreama Walker, Dakota Johnson, and sadly Gillian Jacobs or Alison Brie, are possibilities, just knowing how TV works.

I still keep trying to think of any character that's been in the show already that could possibly make a return. Barney's sister was the only one I could come up with but obviously that's out now.
