Will anyone who has watched the show since the beginning and is just riding it out because you feel obligated actually like the ending? I mean can you see an ending that will actually leave you saying "well, the series dragged for a while but the ending was well done. Met my expectations. Excellent way to end the show"?
I feel like most people who are only in it just because are going to be let down no matter what the outcome.

I wont be let down because i have the lowest expectations possible.
Im not sticking around because i think the ending will make it worth it, i just have to see it throug since ive watched it so long

I have been watching the show since the beginning and am now more invested in Barney and Robin than Ted and YM. But even that story line's ending is going to make me feel disappointed. I think we might get one episode with the mother's face and it'll end something like, "that's how I met your mother; how we fell in love is another story" cop out kind of thing.

I just wanted to pop in this thread and say it's amazing how everyone involved in this show, writers, directors, actors, producers, etc. can be so complicit in the destruction of one of the greatest sitcom characters of all time. Seasons 1-6 Barney Stinson was the source of youtube highlight clip gold, right up there with the Costanzas and Gob's of the world. And now they're having him date a fat chick. The one thing Barney Stinson would never ever ever ever do is date a fat chick. It's disgusting

Yep I remember the first thing that came to mind when Barney dating Patrice was earlier in the series Barney distinctly says " I have never been with a fattie" or something along those lines.
I believe it was in either the Perfect Game episode or 200-milestone episode but either way it makes his dating patrice a lot less believable.
