Happy's Coursey sucks.

Last night I decided to meet some people up for drinks, did up Coursey Blvd a little bit, stopped off at Chimes first and then Happy’s. Thought I would end it with a car bomb and a couple of beers, as usual, though last night’s circumstances were actually far from usual. My bill was incredible, not some $10 bullshite visa fee, more like $45 worth of items I had nothing to do with. I talked it over with a couple people at my table to see if it was any of their stuff by any chance. We figured it out, and I was on my way over, when some miserable clown called Big Jeff who works at Walk-On’s who is evidently largely invested in this imaginary boss status of Happy’s proceeded to try and make an a-hole out of me by loud capping me and telling me to GTFO. I said “excuse me?” He said “White middle class people don’t belong here!!” Notice Jeff, himself IS Caucasian. In picking which part sounded the stupidest, for my response, it took a few seconds. Without saying anything, I shook my head in disappointment and pity of his remedial, backwards arse and walked away. The big picture is, I have enough pricks and whack jobs in my neighborhood and workplace to deal with on a daily basis without having to do so at my nightlife spots as well. Ironically, they are the ones who drive me to drink. That said, I’m done with this particular place. I’ve dropped many Benjamins in there over the last few years, and I’m not into it anymore. When it first opened, it was a pretty awesome bar. I went to HS with one of the Happy’s girls, she introduced me to the other ones, and we had some good times up there. How things have drastically changed. Everytime I have dropped by in the last few months, I have to make my way in through some of the stupidest and greasiest people in this parish, and a lot from Livingston Parish just to get anything done in there, it’s worse than kidney stones. If you disagree, best of luck to you there. If you’re like me, us on this board being a reasonably smart crowd, I am launching a boycott of the Coursey location.
