He said that if welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre and Silva do fight in the future -- a fight that both stars have expressed interest in as of late -- it will most likely be at a 180-pound catchweight. "If Georges St-Pierre beats [Carlos] Condit, that could be the next fight," he said. He also revealed that the fight would likely be at Cowboys Stadium in Dallas.

Last night on UFC Tonight, Dana said that Anderson wanted to go down to 170 and take Georges Belt. Also that if GSP does move up to 185 it will be permanent.

Big GSP fan but this is most likely true. Spider has way too much height/reach for GSP.

How much weight does that mean Silva cuts?

Interesting fight and one I hope they pull off but not really fair for either I think.

Dana stole my idea (although I think it should be at 177.5 and on SB weekend).

Silva could end it at any time, but he'll probably beat on him for at least 3 rounds just to prove a point. I don't see any way GSP wins this fight.

If they do fight, I am sure it will be one of the most boring uneventful fights ever.

GSp taking Silva down and grinding on him for 5 rounds is the only way i could see it going.

ETA: where GSP wins.

GSP will have to eat a few shots to get in and take Silva down. Not sure he can do that.

This fight is really a no win situation for Silva other than a big money fight for him. Silva will come in as a fairly big favorite.

If Silva does win the fight, he should have to move up and fight Jones just to see what it feels like to be beat on by a dude from a heavier weight class.

Anderson should retire after the GSP fight. He's pushing 38 as it is. What else is there for him to do?

Edit: Also has a finish over the other clear cut p4p great.

That is insane. Silva walks around at 220...50lbs is too much to cut.

Yeah, but Lyoto Machida was 220 when they fought in K-1. BJ was 191.

Silva's not even that lean at 185. He is fat at 220 if he is ever at 220. He has fought at WW before and if this fight ever happens it'll probably be at 180 or 178 to give GSP a chance to save face and go back to WW.

Didn't he weigh-in @ 183 or 184 during his last fight? catchweight of 180 should be no problem since he doesn't even struggle to make MW
