How big of a turnaround will the Bobcats make?

The greatest turnaround in NBA history is 42 games by the 2008 Celtics. Last season, the Bobcats only managed 7 wins. There is no doubt they will win more games next year. So I'm wondering how many more games will they win?

Last season the team was horribly put together, was very young, had major injuries and had zero depth. So far they have added added a ton of players and they are not done. They will probably win the rights to B. Haywood, will sign either Jamison or Brand and are the only team bidding on Humphries (with the Nets). The starting line-up could be:

Sessions/Walker
Henderson/Gordon
MKG/Taylor
Humphries/Jamison
Haywood/Bismark

Not a great team, but it's young/experienced, deep and could be .500 in the East. Especially with a ROY candidate and an underrated new coach. That'd be a 34 game improvement, good for 3rd all time. But might be the greatest by % of all time...

They will still be a god awful team and won't come close to 40 wins this year.

I think alot of people are overlooking the job they have done this summer. It's comparable to the Hornets and I expect them to have the same type of results. I think they get to 30 wins.

If you look back at last year, they had a bunch of young unproven players (Henderson, Mullens, Brown, Tyrus, etc.). They drafted two guys and had no camp to coach/develop them (Walker and Bismark). They had a buch of injuries and the young guys sucked.

This year they have a full camp. They had a great draft. They will pick-up 5-6 former starters and put them in their rotation. If their guys develop a bit more, they will be a much better team. I don't see how anybody will make a bigger turnaround next year.

They will still have the worst record in the league by a good margin.

Too bad my Wiz are improving just enough to be somewhere between "not good" and "mediocre" AKA the mid-lottery AKA NBA HELL.

The team will make some strides this year, but too much is on too many young guys; the year should be considered a solid success if they get to 23 wins- I'll put them down for 22. It's still nowhere close to a competitive situation in Charlotte.

We're still not sure what crap the Magic will put on the floor but that Bobcats team is horrible.

Purely in total wins it helps they get to play an extra 16 this season

I say they struggle to get to 20 wins

That is an even better question.. who will be the worst team in the league next year?

I'm going with the Cavs.. they are a one man team and if Irving gets hurt or has a sophmore slump, they are done. They haven't done anything this offseason..

If the Cavs stay healthy I think they'll be around 10th in the east. Charlotte, Detroit, and Phoenix look like the worst right now.

I'm hearing they are gelling as a team. Could be scary. 50 wins.
