As a frequent poster in golf threads even I think there are a few too many.

I think some of these threads were started by people wanting golf threads off the MSB.
It's really just that time of year. NBA is over, middle of the year for baseball and you've got two majors in a 4 week span.

i know i'm older now, but we(collective)used to play baseball/football/whatever in 100* heat as kids. Didn't bother us then. Doesn't bother me now. I just make sure to stay well hydrated on the course and cut the beers back to only a few.
yeah, it's hot, but it's better than being inside doing nothing or doing whatever the wife tells me to do.

you know....Atchafalaya is not a bad course but I really do not like how they laid out their Par 5s
from the back tees reaching them in two is pretty much impossible except for that one on the back nine and even that one is very risk/reward
