I looked at some handmade lock-blades that were well over $100. No way I carry that every day. I had a spyderco and gave it away. Ain't paying anything for those.

I don't like the spyderco or kershaw. I have a little Buck asst open knife that I carry every day. My dad has always been a Buck or Case man and I just found myself liking Buck knives the most.

I don't get the idea of buying cheap fishing line. Is this opposed to braid like Power Pro? I bet if you fish much you won't go 2-3 years without changing that mono out. Braid comes out far cheaper for me.

I use braid for some things, like saltwater and punching/frogs/jigs, but I wouldn't want to use it for everything. That stretch from mono is good sometimes.

Braid vs mono is not a "cheap" discussion.

I try to be thrifty when buying camo.

Typically you can get great deals at Midway USA if you check the clearance sections. I got 3 BDU pants, 2 long sleeve button up shirts and 3 long sleeve t-shirts all in NatGear camo for less than $90 just before turkey season. Great quality stuff at an awesome price.

As for knives, I dont carry a pocket knife but for hunting/skinning knives I dont go cheap. I bought a custom knife a few years ago and have become quite spoiled by having it. A good custom will cost you, but the edge seldom needs sharpening. I've put that knife through dozens of deer, hogs and a few turkeys and only this year did I have it sharpened for the first time.
