Its between Foster/Tate, Charles/Hillis, and the Vikings duo.

Charles is coming off a major injury. Have to see how he responds. Hillis is coming off the Madden Curse too.

You are correct about Charles' surgery though. If he can even be 90% of what he was though

Forte had 997 yards and Bush had 977, both without starting the whole season. Pretty impressive.

And I think Deangelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart are overrated.

They couldn't run it really

Good thing there are only three games in a season

IMO, when defenses had to respect the ability of Newton to pass is what gave their run game life

No, right idea, but it's more of the opposite. Just a few years ago Williams and Stewart each ran for 1,000 yards in the same season. Delhomme had his terrible season and that was followed by Clausen's awful rookie season. It was the lack of a passing game that dropped the duo from best in the NFL to mediocre for a couple of seasons.

Playing for different teams though.

Last season Williams had 836, Stewart had 761, and Newton had 706

2009 Williams had 1117, Stewart had 1133

These guys all played for the same team....that shits 10x more impressive than Bush and Forte's numbers on separate teams last season

Yup. 2010 was a perfect shitstorm for the Panthers. Their offensive line was all sorts of banged up, their backs each missed significant time, and they started the worst quarterback in the league in Jimmy Clausen. Not to mention John Fox has the worst playbook in the league:

First down: Run up the middle.
Second down: run off tackle.
Third down: Less than 5 to go? run a sweep/toss. More than 5 to go? Playaction with 2 receivers running routes and hope Smith gets open.

Offenses in 1950's college football were more complex than his youth league playbook.

That's really not that far-fetched

I love Foster due to money I won in my fantasy leagues a couple years ago, but he's kind of a system RB! Forte is top 3 all-around and Bush is a beast...I like the Bears a lot this season!

Tandem??? Foster/Tate

Corps??? PT/Sproles/Ingram/Ivory

May be a little biased on the last part, but a legit argument

I'm not trying to call you out or anything, but I am so goddamn sick of system this and system that. Every single player in the NFL is some sort of a system player.

McCluster has worked exclusively with WR so far in OTAs

This. Arian Foster is the clear cut second best back in the NFL and the difference between him and Adrian Peterson and barely there.

I said they struggled to run early.

I looked at the first 6.

3 were dreadful.
3 were good.

I didn't have time to look at the rest.

They ran the ball about 28 times a game, and their QB accounted for almost a third of their entire rushing production.

Without knowing offhand, I'd imagine a good bit of that is improvised.

I watched them play a good bit, and they never struck me as a super productive rushing team. They couldn't run at people when they needed to.

They didn't run 28 rushing plays a game. As you alluded to, a lot of those carried were Cam leaving the pocket. Williams averaged less than 10 carries a game which is dumb.
