What your top 5 beers, but the only catch is you can only pick beers the can be purchased in Louisiana.

1) St Arnold's endeavor
2) Omnegang BPA
3) Stone Ruination
4) Moylans Hopsickle IPA
5) Brooklyn local 1

Old Rasputin
Brooklyn Blast (on tap at the Avenue Pub)
Brooklyn Black Chocolate
St. Bernardus ABT 12
Stone Russian Imperial Stout

and im probably not being fair to others i didn't list.

Interesting idea... still going to be hard to stop at 1.

Do they have to be regularly available? I'm going to say no, so nothing like Life & Limb which was a special release...

In no particular order:
Stone Sublimely Self-Righteous
Parish Canebrake
Unibroue La Terrible
Hitachino Nest White Ale
Chimay Blue

The next bunch would include:
St. Bernardus Abt 12
La Trappe Quad
Saint Arnold Endeavour
Ayinger Celebrator
Westmalle Tripel
could keep going... lots of good Belgians available here.

No mention of Black Ops yet? From what I recall of it that beer was awesome.

I'll be going through Lafayette and stopping by the brewery Friday late morning on my way to Houston. If the bottles are out over there (I really don't know if they are) then I'll get some and if you can meet up over the weekend in H-Town I'll be happy to share.

I might be able to get a growler also... if any place that does growlers is open early enough.

They are about to start distributing to Baton Rouge and New Orleans. I think next week or something like that.

won't be able to this weekend, gonna be chasing DMB from The Woodlands Friday to Dallas Saturday.

If you find any bottles, and will let me know, I can try to pick some up myself on my way home from LA on Memorial Day weekend. May bring a growler to get filled just in case.

OK, that sounds right. I talked to the brewer at an event in Lafayette on monday and he said that they are doing NOLA next week and BR right after that.

eta just saw on facebook that there will be canebrake at the ave pub tonight for craft beer week.

if you bring your own growler, apparently. I called several places when I had family passing through there and they said they could fill one if they had one with them, which they did not, naturally

I thought they were only kegging according to their website.

quote:

Being a small brewery, we only distribute our beer in kegs at the moment. Look for the Parish logo on taps at fine bars and restaurants. And of course, if you dont see Parish beer on tap... just ask them to get it!
