Hud will move on the bigger and better things very soon if he keeps this up, and ULL will still be fighting the struggle for mediocrity.

I personally have nothing against ULL, I just find the LSU hate funny and hypocritical, because I was treated very poorly on my trip to Cajun Field

Any of you tools who attend another university and don't support that school over LSU are missing something.

The two aren't mutually exclusive. You can support multiple schools a number of ways.

My parents, for example, are both USL alums. They donate money back to ULL and the Alumni Association frequently. However, living in Baton Rouge for the past 25 years, they have come to also support LSU. They donate to both schools because they see value in both. Supporting one doesn't preclude you from supporting the other.

Yep, we moved our November 5 conference game against Nicholls St. from our traditional 7 pm kickoff to 1 pm, so that it would be over in plenty of time for LSU-Bama kickoff.

What a joke. First Bowl win in yall's history. And it was the New Orleans bowl.

Actually 2nd... educate your dumb self

Serious question... we know you won a bowl game last year as ULL, but, assuming it was your second bowl win, what name was your school going by when it won the first one -- USL, SLI, SLII? Perhaps all of the different names USL has used over the years is what causes people to forget your first bowl win (I confess to not knowing you had won your bowl game last season until reading this thread). On the other hand, even though LSU has a considerably longer bowl history than USL, its easy to remember because LSU has always been just LSU.

Somehow I ran across this on YouTube this morning. Seems fitting for the subject at hand. Posting from my iPad in the middle of the Gulf at 1:30 AM so if the link doesnt work just do a YouTube search of "KATC UL LSU FAN CLIP"

If Coach Hud stays two more season and has success, ULL has a foundation in place. President Authement is gone. He was a 5,000 lb weight holding the university back. There's a chance for them to strike while the iron is hot and actually amount to something.

A lot will be dependent on how long they can buy Hud's time and if they can implement a plan in that period of time.

I didnt read all seven pages, so if this is mentioned...oh well.

I would have shut his arse up very quickly by pointing out that atleast Baton Rouge is in the same damn State.

...But I would be ashamed to publicly wear a ULAla shirt too.

The management would be happy to know the attitude and shirt do not help his profit margin at the end of the day. Boycott them.

I have a niece that graduated from ULL and this whole us against the world and LSU thing is out of hand. Is it something in the water south of I10.

LOL! I love this thread.

I was around a bunch of Lafayette natives for an extended period of time a while back and NOTHING gets them bent out of shape and all hotheaded as referring to their school as ULL. It's like a reflex and resembles Little Man Syndrome. Call it ULL and you will immediately and without fail be corrected thusly, "it's UL not ULL"

So you're saying you don't know anyone that hates LSU because they didn't get in? I know at least four. Probably eight that won't admit it. They just say I didn't even want to go there, I just wanted to party in Laffy. Okay.

This makes you look like them.....

I have a BA from Tech and a Masters from LSU
LSU is the No 1 team in the state, by far
In an arguement on who fills the second spot lower down, it is no contest, it is Tech, not ULL.
As far as football tradition, success and reputation ULL can not touch Tech, much less LSU.

That being said, born to be a Tiger fan first but also Tech, but will pull for ULL when playing others, support the state. However I must add, the UL thing is incorrect and somewhat annoying

There are more LSU fans in Lafayette then USL fans IMO.

I see way more LSU gear worn and I work there, so I know.

Most USL gear is worn by students.

I saw a man in WalMart wearing Bama shite too, probably just attention whores.

This is very true. My extended family members are all ULL (USL) alums, and they openly refer to LSU as the "evil empire" to my face and knock everything about Baton Rouge because they view Lafayette to be superior in just about every way. I always just make some retort about little brother syndrome and ULL being a directional school. But, they are always quick to rag on LSU's traditions. For instance, according to them, LSU has no right to use "GEAUX" and the fleur de lis usage (fleur de tigre)they feel is practically trademark infringement.

I texted a lot of them to congratulate them on their bowl victory this year and 1 of them actually responded "Reauxll Tide."

It was probably the USL fan that was getting stupid.

You should know understand that since you are a USL fan.
