Bran has seen Theon, and can see the future and the past through the weirwoods, so he will surely have a gigantic role in the upcoming books.
I wonder if we will see an epic struggle between the Red God and his follows, The Wild-lings and Bran and the Old Golds, The Seven and the warriors of the faithful and whoever else (Many faced God, Drowned God).
I can not wait to read the next book, I have never wanted a book to come out so bad.
I hope he has the story outlined and he just needs to put it to paper.

Oh I agree. He will play a huge part in the future. Like another poster and myself were talking about the other day. I think bran will see Lyanna and Rhaegars wedding through a weirwood and thats how we will find out about Jon's true parentage.
I'm just not real sure what side the children and bloodraven are allied on....

So the three eyed Raven is Bloodraven?
Eta nevermind

The evidence in A Dance with Dragons strongly suggests him to be the three-eyed crow.

Who has control of the Riverlands?
Is it House Baelish of Harnhal (Littlefinger) or Emmon Frey of Riverrun?
(Peter is the Lord Paramount of the Riverlands,
Lord of Harrenhal and Lord Protector of the Vale; he seems to be the head of a large chunk of Westeros)
As it seems both were promised the region.
I was also curious about what a Manticore is??
This is the only image I could find, I guess we will find out this season what one looks like. Supposedly the most deadly of all venomous creatures.

I really like the job Martin did with the character(top 3 most interesting for sure)...he becomes quite admirable as the story goes on. HOWEVER, I still can't bring myself to truly like a guy who attempted to murder an 8 year old child by his own hand....at least not as my favorite character. Similarly to how I didn't "like" Robert.

Your picture looks about right for the traditional manticore, which is supposed to have the face of a man, body of a lion, wings, and the tail of a scorpion.
Clearly the ones in ASOIAF are a bit different. The one in ACOK has a man like face and the scorpion tail, but it's described as having a scarab like body and fits in a jewel box. So I'm guessing it's like a very large beetle with a human face and stinger.

Ever since I finished Feast I've always felt Jaime would die some sad death, not so much torturous or painful death, but killed by someone he's fighting to protect. That or the Kingslayer gets offed by some Peasant.
I do think when it's all said and done all of his heroic acts will be unremarked and go unnoticed.

Re read dance after you finish the dunk and egg novellas and it is obvious IMO.
"how many eyes does lord bloodraven have? One thousand eyes and one"

Possible stupid question - is there anyway to get the dunk and egg (and the other two stories) without having to buy those whole books or am I stuck with the books?
Anything else worthwhile in the books?

Arrya going to Braavos.
not till the end of Storm.
The way Martin writes in POV chapters, things that don't come until storm of swords actually took place during the Clash of Kings timeline so it really wouldn't bother me if they move her story along on screen.

no way Arya goes to Braavos in the second season. Her story line has so much more with the brotherhood and the hound. The reason the title is such is because at the end of Clash after Jaquen kills off her 3rd request he transforms and presents the coin. It isnt till the end of Storm she uses it.

Has there ever been a character that you hated so much, and just totally despised, only to really start to like him?
Not from a book, but "Sweggen" from Deadwood comes to mind.

As strong as Jamie is he is also weak to me. Cersei's influence is what caused him to do things like push Bran out of the window. As he is around Cat and Brienne we see a much nobler side of him and he begins to shun Cersei.

Okay, just trying to figure out what the cliffhanger finale will be if Blackwater is the second to last episode.
