Best rod for a vintage Shimano Bantam 100?

I am getting a Shimano Bantam 100 in a few days, like this one.
And, I can't decide/don't know which rod would be the best to pair with it.
I am by no means an expert fisherman, yet, I like to think of myself slightly above novice level.
I am looking to spend between $20-$100, but, maybe a little more if necessary to get the right rod. I love these reels for some reason and I want to pair it with the best rod I can in terms of price range. I am looking for which rod will be the best combination of ascetically pleasing with the vintage reel, but, with some sort of above average performance.
When I first started using the reels they belonged to somebody else, and, were on a simple Shakespeare Ugly Stik. Which, worked great, and, from my experience are great rod's for the price, but, I was wondering if there were any other rods that would be a little bit better and look better with the reel I am pairing it with.

The model that I am purchasing was produced between 1978-1981. I am not sure of the exact year of the reel I am getting though.

Not sure about rods that would look good with the reel but I'm sure someone here can help

Thanks.
Some of those ambassaduer's look great. I have never used one though.
I was able to use one of these Shimano's a few times, and, I love them. I haven't used one in a few years, but, am looking at getting a new rod/reel and it was the first reel I thought of. I've always wanted one of my own.
ETA: What rod do you have with your ambassaduer?
Is the reel an ambassaduer like this?

Easy answer to your question. Pick the middle weight mono your reel is rated at. Line the reel with this weight mono. Pick a rod that has a line weight exactly in the middle of this line weight.
Since it's a 100 series, it will probably be around a 10 lb test, 6.5' rod with moderate to moderately-fast action. Get the rod with the most cork on the grip. Start with Falcon rods.

I think it would look good on a vintage Fenwick rod. They have a few on eBay right now in your price range.

Just looked at a couple. The Shamano would look great on one of those. Thanks.

I have some old ambassadors on various rods. The ugly stick lite is probably my favorite.
I am by no means any type of fishing expert though and my opinion isnt very far from worthless.

Yeah, those Ugly Stik's work great, and, they are a great value. The rig I used had the same Shimano reel on an Ugly Stik and it was a more than serviceable set-up.
I was just looking to spend a few more dollars for something that looked even better with the Shamano reel on it, and, that may be a little bit better of a rod.

I was given the same real a while back by a friend, didn't know how old it was or much about it, only cast it a fews times.

Cool reel. Brings back memories. Loved the wooden handles at the time.

My dad fished with one of those and an ambassador 5500C all of my life. He still has them both, but doesn't really use the shimano anymore. Good memories.
I actually have a later version of the bantam. I got it after they switched to plastic housing. I still use it occasionally to throw a 6" plastic worm. I like it on light/med rods.
