Mine looked like that too till most of the buds just fell off. Does yours drop a bunch of buds?

Mine looked like that, last year, and most of the buds fell off or a lot of them. It was the best year I've had since planting them, but still not as much as some folks I know get. Mine all have rough sort of potted skin, too. The only matching picture I found was one where it said the fruit had wind burn, but we didn't have a lot of wind. The fruit inside it fine. No problem there, but the lemons especially were large, but not very pretty on the outside.

That happened to the tree last year, never did figure out why.
I'm hoping this years mild winter and recent good rain helps. I'm also feeding the tree Nitrogen.

The pot is about 23" diam. We keep the tree top about 7 - 8' from the ground. We have other citrus trees in pots that do well. They are in our courtyard.
