What's the best way to shoot these babies. I'd like to get a night vision scope, but there has to be cheaper ways

Tree suit.
When they go to chew your leg, grab them by the paddle and bash skull onto kneecap. Save teeth.

Good luck.

Step 1, stay out the bars.

Step 2, you got to be firm but polite when you tell them to quit freaking calling.

Definitely conibear 330 traps. The only place around BR I could find them was BassPro. Cabella's and Bowie don't sell them. We've got a few beavers and a river otter we're trying to get rid of as well.

If you want to have the pleasure of shooting the damn things you will need to do the following.

On the next CLEAR full moon night go to the dam just before dark and damage it enough to get some water flowing. After dark the beavers can not stop themselves from coming out to repair the dam. The sound of the water kicks them into gear. Find a commfy spot 50 yds away and be patient. Any quality deer hunting scope will gather enough light to shoot beavers on the water during a full moon.

Good luck

Your best unplugged scattergun and some #1 buckshot. You want to be at waters edge just at dusk, hunt for an hour or so after. You need a permit at night.

I've decided to get a Ruger ini 14 and put a cheap ($300-$400) ATN night vision scope
