Would have loved to see them against Ok St. The world would know how far the SEC has really separated itself from the pack.

I think to really compare you might need to also look at the offense. I think our offense this year was a lot better than the offense of 92'. Having a poor offense puts pressure on the defense so if the numbers are even close you have to lean heavy to the defense that also had the worst offense. That would be 92'. I remember thinking why doesn't the defense get mad at the offense for putting them in such crappy situations? But I think they liked playing defense so much they really didn't care how well the offense was playing. It was an amazing attitude to have. So, I have to give it to the 92' De.

Didn't Georgia State score 21 points? So, >20 points scored should be 1.

Your numbers are off on the 2011 defense....

PpG - 8.2
YpG - 183.6
YpPlay - 3.3
YpC - 2.4
YpPass - 4.3
1stDowns/G - 10.1
3rd% - 24.5
Takeaways/G - 1.5
>= 20 pts - 1
<= 10 pts - 9

Where the hell did you get your stats???

The 2011 Bama defense was awesome, but the quality of the offenses they played was rather pathetic

I want to see the numbers for the 2005 D. I bet they measure up pretty well with the other three defenses.

Well, the 2009 squad played a much tougher schedule than either 1992 or 2011 and posted a better record than both and I believe was the first SEC team to ever post a 14 win season. 2009 is still one of the best, if not THE best, Bama teams of all-time. Championships, all-Americans, Heisman.
