According to some reports, the clones are perfect. HP bars and all.

so a full 8 man will be 16 fighters?

I should do my own research but I'm guessing they'll move independently like a hero.

So if someone backpedals or strafes, you'll know he's the real one.

They have some videos out there. They basically run in and attack. I'm sure one strategy will be to act like a clone. That could be fun.

There is no WvWvW queue. It's a large zone with castles and forts to take. They have said their is a limit for each server for the zone.

Structured PvP, which is the capture point as of right now, is 5v5.

Clones are meant to be used and "shattered" for effects, they are pets, but very short lasting pets.

re: UPDATE*** Guild Wars 2 - OPEN BETA - Reviews/Reactions

good reads...I just spent the last hour watching all the yogscasts

Warrior
Guardian
engineer
Ranger
elementalist
Necro
Mesmer
Thief

Why does mesmer hit for so low? Seems Ranger/Warrior hit the hardest regardless(melee or ranged)
Guardian Hammer(others meh)
Elementalist daggers skills(ranged meh, see nothing exciting)

thief/mesmer are both way squishy and a burden to play

Necro undecided, but worried about PvP and everyone ignoring pets

although I see mesmer's portal being kind of a very cool skill to utilize.

what am I missing? Why is one hitting for 8...16...9, and others hitting for 100,490, 88

The press...well, stinks. There have been people who break the videos down and find that they are often not using the right weapons, freezing on inventory screens and such. Using weapons at half power and what not. They are just playing to play.

Don't take anything at face value yet. They also may not be traited to do damage. There's also a difference there.

thanks for the links

not sure which I will be going now

I think Freaz is saying that while the character maybe be switching weapons on the fly, he hasn't respec'd his points. like with the original GW, if a warrior was spec'd Hammer, and switch to axe, his skills wouldn't work or they'd be far less potent.

But I am not entirely sure that is the case. Thief does look "squishy". I'll have to see more before my final decision.

Is the balance supposed to be 1 vs 1 in the game?

Yes. And that they are using different tiers of weapons.

Thief is squishy, but has the most ways to completely avoid damage. So there's the tradeoff.

No. 5v5 is the balance.

403 error on the page, guess they're prepping it to sell. I'm determined to pre order tonight.

Any benefits to preordering? Or do it just to feel like your one step closer?

You have access to all upcoming beta weekends.

You get a 3 day head start before release, that will be huge imo. You can easily get a couple of characters past the rush of the early areas I would think.

There are also some minor items available, not sure if those are also with pre-orders (which is different from pre-purchasing).

The only real problem: Lack of a release date. Although all signs still point to June or July, it's still odd to not have one yet.

I believe that's still under NDA, probably want to delete that.

Eh. It's less about your personal opinions and mostly about the board. Tigerdroppings/Chicken CAN get in legal trouble for letting something under NDA sit in a thread. That's all I'm saying. I'm not trying to be a buzzkill.
