Pretty sure it was just to those already in a previous beta event. It was just a stress test and only lasted 6 or so hours.

This. Pre-purchasers are for "Beta Weekend Events" specifically. Apparently, the stress test was not a BWE.

By the way. This thread will close once the BWE's start and we'll have a new official thread with more information and more structured guild stuff.

Where I think we should target:
I still think Furnace, but would be open to changes. Not sure if I would want to avoid Reddit or not. Yak's will be huge. Henge might be my second choice.
If we're looking for population Yak's or Darkhaven. If we want PvP Furnace or Jade. Henge or Maguuma to kind of do our own thing.

I feel like population = pvp for WvWvW so the big pop servers will be the best for that. After i run through the story once im pretty mich only going to pvp so initially I would be inclined to say yak's. With that being said I wouldn't mind playing on a smaller server if everyone else wanted that since the WvWvW discrepancies are supposed to even themselves out.

Which is why I say Furnace, for the PvP focus, they will be good at it.
But yeah, if people want straight up population, Yak's bend is the place to go. We can take a vote after beta weekend.
Beta weekend on Furnace. Guild is already made there.

You'll be surprised at how long the story will last, and how fun PvE is I think.

Yeah I agree with this too. Smaller servers can be fun. And we might have more of an identity on one. it's a tradeoff.
I will post this again once we have the real guild thread:
WARNING: Server Choice is ACCOUNT LINKED. So once you choose a server you cannot make any of your 5 characters on any other server. This makes it far more important that we all get on the same one.

Didn't realize that, in that case I would prefer a smaller server since that could potential lead to a que to get into the mists. As long as I get to kick arse and take names I'm happy.

Or a medium sized server. Ha, can't kick arse if the server isn't that good at PvP though.
Yeah I don't want Yak's or Maguuma primarily for the population. And I'm looking for community. Stay away from the major websites, MMORPG.com, Reddit, 4chan, etc. Those communities can be a cancer.
But this isn't a dictatorship. At least not yet. So we'll vote.

I vote furnace. Sure, the other servers are going to be higher populated, but by yogscast fanboys, reddit and 4chan trolls. If WvW is going to be the only source of pvp in the game, I want to be part of a server thats good at it IMO.

1. Sorrow's Furnace is the server for Beta, if you want to play together, let's start there.
2. I'm not sure about wiping yet, but if they haven't I'll be available to help fro the get go. I'll focus on getting others up to speed. Character: Hadrian Frostfire

Yeah if you pre-purchased (Not just ordered, there is a difference) then you should have already received an email.
