21-0 could get much worse. Alot worse when you start pressing and throwing picks, like the one JJ threw trying to make a play to ware.
So you are ok with Miles just basically running out the clock w/Jefferson not to have the score run up on us. Thats nice your satisified w/a coach who quit in the championship game 80 miles from Baton Rouge to Saban of all people.

Don't bring logic into this, you'll confuse them.
You say this...and then follow with this gem.

Put it this way, if you were told Jefferson would average 40 yards a game ( ) in the SEC championship and the Nation Championship games, would you have advocated for Lee to play? Yes or No?
Um...no. In fact I wouldn't have. If you had know Lee was going to do what he did at BAMA in November, would you have started him?
Are we now using hindsight as the hammer we're going to bash Miles with? If so, nice work.

I'm not LSU's coach.
I didn't coach the championship game.
Your argument is pathetic as this thread has nothing to do with me. You don;t like JJ's terrible play?
That's on JJ for playing that bad and Miles leaving him in there. Nobody else.

I bet if we had a way to search all the words he has said in his 7 years at LSU, even more than WANT, he has said this word.
I think "quality" and "capable" are up there. Of course there isn't a way to efficiently verify your claim.

So clarify your position if you will. Do you think Miles truly felt JL was as good or better option to help LSU win as JJ? If you think that, why do you feel Miles held Lee off the field?
It's pretty simple...JL WON 8 games as a starter. Does that make him better than JJ? Not necessarily but certainly it would lead one to think that, just possibly, he could be of some semblance of 'help' when the mother frickin wheels are coming off and your starter is obviously struggling and not getting it done. We are not talking the difference between Drew Brees and Chase Daniel here...we are talking about someone on your bench who knows the system, has a helmet and won 8 frickin games as a starter!!

The main problem is the idea that Les can be honest. He has lied , misled ,and shaded the truth
so often on so many subjects that his veracity on any subject is suspect. It is his character or lack there of.He said on JL "I felt like it would be unfair to him with the pass rush"
Do you believe any thing a liar tells you.

+1.

Let me get this straight.
In jj's two biggest games of his life he accounted for the following
1 td
1 int
3 fumbles
9 sacks
And 93 yRds of offense
Clearly the best option we have at qb.

Great...I know that's your opinion, but it didn't begin to answer what I asked. In case you want a second shot at doing so, here it is again...

Your unsubstantiated opinion of Les Miles integrity aside, do you not agree with that statement?

quote:yes, i have inside knowledge. Its called growing up in a family that included high school football all americans, a linebacker who still holds a record at USM, coached in college & the NFL, and now a HC and AD with a few more years until he retires, including having coached in the SEC. I'm around coaches on a daily basis, and i'll be a coach in 2-3 years, so yea, i know a lil about coaching. Coaches don't play favorites. They're paid to win football games, and they play players who they believe put them in that position. Are they ever wrong and lose games, sure. But that's all part of the proffession
So you have inside information that this is the case? I take it you got this from Les Miles? Last I heard this is all speculation just like any of the other theories.

So you are saying yes then? You would be okay with it? Alright I guess your football opinion is stamped as meaningless.
The first time LSU ran the option and BAMA had defenders beating us to the sideline, an average coach would have IMMEDIATELY changed the game plan. Bama was ready for it, they planned for it. Miles didn't WANT a plan B and stuck with Jefferson and then sunk the entire ship.
I'll ask again.
Put it this way, if you were told Jefferson would average 40 yards a game ( ) in the SEC championship and the Nation Championship games, would you have advocated for Lee to play? Yes or No?

You guys feel free to continue to bash this strawman...I'm not going to get in your way. It's just not the original point of this thread.
The question is whether Miles felt that Jefferson was the best option. There is no question in my mind he did. Some seem to be suggesting he didn't think that but played him anyway, which seems absurd to me...

ask Lee if it would have been "unfair" to play him...
wanna bet what he thinks?

I like how posters are being chastised for their opinion that Miles should've made the QB change, yet the players apparently felt the same way, but no one is going to bash them.

I pointed that out as well. I'm waiting on them to bash all the players who questioned Miles as well.

I'm not bashing anyone for wanting a change. But can you link me to some quotes by players. I haven't seen any.
