While I do like me some red beans, I do feel it's way overrated also.

Only one dish is over-rated, and it is shrimp creole.

Your cajun card has just been revoked, now where do you plan on moving to in the near future.

Were you thinking of any poboy in particular? Or simply all of the 50 plus varieties?

doesnt like 70% of the nations oysters come from the gulf?

I can get on board with saying a king cake is overrated. It is just basically a cinnamon roll. I can promise you, however, that once I smell my first one of the season, I will be hooked for a couple weeks until I get sick of them.
I don't agree with anything else mentioned in this thread.

Ahh, forgot about red beans and rice. I never eat that shite. Not a bean fan though.
Anyone saying oysters, no matter how cooked, has lost their mind though.

Washington state is now the top producer in the US.

Shrimp would come closer to that percentage.
And King Cake is nothing special, but I'll eat a piece or two every year if it's put in front of me.

Agree on the king cakes with the exception of a French king cake or a Cajun Kringle.
Agree on jambalaya, as well. Not my favorite dish at all, though it's great for a crowd since most folks like it, the brown kind, anyway.

Not a fan of the Cajun Kringle. A French king cake is divine. It is similar in name only to traditional Louisiana king cakes.
