Lacrosse Alpha Burly. Way more comfortable and a good bit lighter than the Mucks I had before.

I find it hard to believe something could be much more comfortable than mucks. I don't know if I'll get them again though, I seem to wear out boots too fast to justify spending that much on one pair. I probably should stick my cheap boots on the 4 wheeler when I think I'm gonna go scout after a morning hunt.

Lacrosse AlphaBurlys. Once you wear them, you will never go back.

quote:I said the same thing. I walk a good bit late morning also. When my Mucks wore out I decided to try something different for durability. I knew the Lacrosse was lighter, but I didn't realize i'd get something more comfortable too. I will say they're not as warm as Mucks but warmth really isn't a big deal in the South. I just wear an extra pair of socks on cold mornings.

I agree, if I get another pair of mucks it'll be the wetlands or something similar. The woody elite and woody max are too insulated for where I hunt, I always sweat a ton on the walk in. I've heard good things about bogs too, I migh give those a try next

Muck boots for bowhunting; Danner Grouse uninsulated boots for upland game. In warm weather will use the old Lacrosse Granges for wet hunts.

I have a pair of Lacrosse that I got about a year after they started making them in camo.
I imagine they are 10-12 years old. Maybe more
