When CP3 retires and all of the possible backlash wares off, do the Hornets retire his jersey? I think they will.

Nope, 6 years wasn't long enough to warrant that. No WC Championships and no NBA Titles.

Nope.

this isn't college, you don't play 4 years in one place (+2 in OKC) and expect to have your jersey retired...

I know we all want to say no right now, but CP will be a HoFer and will most likely have played most of his career in NOLA. I think it's a very good possibility, especially if he doesn't win a NBA title elsewhere

Eh.

Only if we get really good in the next few years and he signs back with us after his two years in LA.

This is where I'm coming from also under normal circumstance I could see why not but CP3 and David West helped keep basketball in NOLA even if things didn't end pretty.

David West
Wish him the best. My favorite Hornet ever.

CP3
Wish him the best of luck. Best player to put on a Hornets jersey. Don't blame him for jumping ship.

Will still be fans of both of those guys excluding when they play the Hornets.

DWest didn't end things badly IMO. I think he is cheered when he returns to NOLA and eventually has his name hanging from the rafters as well. Less for their performance on the court, but more for their impact on the franchise.

you want to retire a players jersey who didn't even win a conference championship?

West and CP3 showed basketball mattered in New Orleans. I think there will be some healing and appreciation in due time.
