SMU doesn't have many, TBH. Very few.
Not sure on the rest and IDGAF.

From the reaction from the Ags that I know, I feel pretty confident that this isn't going to end well for Sumlin.
From the reaction from the Ags I know, most wouldn't care if we hired a transvestite mongoloid at this point as long as we win, myself included. Those who think race is a huge issue for how our fanbase views this hire are severely underestimating how starving for success we are.

Couldn't agree more--the Aggie fanbase is extremely tired of being "almost there" and "about to turn the corner." Take success however we can get it at this point, tbh.

smu, tech and tcu dont have the nazi rally going on in the stands. the corps is yalls biggest perception issue. its the most visual part and yall happen to be rivals with a huge fan base. That fanbase passes yall off as racist and gay and enough people buy it and boom you have the racist and gay perception of a&m even though yall claim it to be a small part.
Posted on 12/12/11 at 3:15 pm to heartbreakTiger
Why would gays and racists be attracted to the same school?
Posted on 12/12/11 at 3:18 pm to Big Kat
Were also "rivals with a huge fan base". Rivals to whom you ask? Pretty sure he's like 14

are you going to say texas doesn't have a huge fanbase? they are the ones that help spread the perception of a&m having a racial problem. they also spread the gay perception but yall feed into that with the pics that come from the dress up boys.
until yall change that image of a&m the perceptions true or not about yall wont change.

I can just see Mack Brown in the living room of Marcus Johnson as he switched his commitment: "Going to A&M is really gay, come here and you can sit with the cool kids at lunch."

nah mac is too lazy for that but I figured we were talking fan perception and the longhorn fans spread all the gay things yall do.

Texas has shite all to do with peoples perceptions of A&M. Our shite-tastic marketing department coupled with ESPN and Fox constantly showing the fricking Corps every time-out do.

i wouldn't say they have nothing to do with it as they defiantly help spread it. Yalls marketing department and admins make it really easy for texas and the tv networks to spread a bad perception of a&m. I honestly dont see the cult image being shed till the milk men and dress up crew aren't on tv all the time and the cameras show normal people in the stands. Also id do away with the its time commercial having the overall wearers.

On message boards they spread the "gay" image to make fun of us. Message boards aren't real life. Unfortunately in real life we do get the racism rep and it has nothing to do with what their fans spread and say, its mostly people stereotyping us as racist because were a very conservative school in the country.
I'm sure there was a good deal of racism at A&M back in the day and it may still be prevalent among older alumni, but that's probably true of any school located in the south.
Constantly showing the Corps does make me mad though. Dr. Gates tried like hell to change that but didn't succeed.

I'm glad we have your expertise sir I will pass it along to 12th man TV so they can promptly correct these things so we will be well on our way to greatness.

im agreeing with you dont get mad at me. Its pretty clear perception of a&m isn't going to change if nothing changes besides the coach. I dont want yall to change because its much easier to make fun of yall when the face of the program is yell leaders, overall wearers and the corps. Its kinda like bama their loud, white trash retard fans get attention while the good fans aren't noticed.

Considering Texas has a very large journalism department and we were stupid enough to cancel our small one, I'll have to disagree with you.
Texas has far more people who end up writing for major publications or working for large media companies and they are often more than happy to perpetuate stereotypes about A&M.

That definitely happens, but that is mostly contained to local media in Texas. If there is any bias against us, it would be from ESPN and a result of the network, but I don't really buy into that either. We get ignored or bashed because we have been consistently mediocre and irrelevant in football for too long.
