so at <3000 in ranking, expect 2 nosebleed tickets just like the last 2 times in '03 and '07. I'll take em. The "loyalty" points dominate the formula,(over 60% of the points contributing to the overall ranking come from loyalty points in this one case) which i like since otherwise only the coroporate donors would get tickets.

Damn, just checked, and you are exactly right. I dropped from around 1900 in mid-October to between 2100 and 2200. Ouch. Looks like some money got dumped in those last couple of weeks...

and here we go again.......the other 42% will go to player parents, administration, students, POLITICIANS & other people. The result, people who have NEVER been to an LSU home football game will once gain end up with tickets from LSU's allotment.
This would probably explain why the people next to me at the last 2 LSU BCS Championship games left at halftime. They didn't really care but just wanted to say they had been there

No -- actually it is a Priority Point RANKING of 4000 or better (lower) is what they are projecting.
i.e. -- if your RANK is #1 - #4000 you will probably get tickets... search elsewhere for the number of tickets allowed... but basically above #750 will be allowed to purchase 2 tickets.

I am going to miss it by a few hundred probably. I wish they would start giving participation points the way they do for students who attend events. For example purchasing/attending away games during the year, etc. I will be calling in favors from past generations looking for these tickets.
