Brian Broussard's twitter update 1 hour ago says look for updates tomorrow-

The LSUTix twitter page just said students are gettin 15% of the allotment which is 2550 and higher than the originally thought 2000.

Same here. The collegiate club was instrumental in allowing me to get season tickets only a year after graduation.

I've always been interested in how TAF priority points work. So, you must have at least 4000 points to be considered for tix or is that guaranteed? Also, how long or better yet, how much $$, does it take to achieve that many points?

I did too... But I slipped a few years though when I was partying too much and missed out on 2 years of points... Dropped alot in the rankings. My philanthropic is 2400 but my total is 5000. Got season tickets in 05 after graduating in 02, then got to upgrade them to SEZ before last year due to philanthropic rank

It isn't 4000 points, it's a ranking of 4000 or lower.

I've been giving $100 per year for 6 years now, in addition to the TAF donation associated with my season tickets, and I'm still in the low 6000s in ranking.

It's not 4,000 points. Four thousand is how many donors down the list they will get to for ticket distribution.

Add two zeros to that $100 a year in addition to your TAF ticket money and you still won't move up much. My number is in the 1400 range. Believe me, I know!

@LSUTix just said that 58% of LSU's allotment will go to season ticket holders. Based on the calculations that we already know....the last rank to be sure to get tickets will be about 3830. Of course there will be a handfull of people not eligible because of not ordering, not a football season ticket holder, etc... Don't expect it to be far off of 3830 based on that.
58% of 17,000 = 9860
The top 750 get 3700
That leaves 6160 given to people at 2 each putting the magic number at approx 3830 (3080 + 750).
*This is assuming max requested/awarded by every single person in line. Obviously some people will be skipped so the 4000 number that Brian Broussard touts looks almost right on.

and here we go again.......the other 42% will go to player parents, administration, students, POLITICIANS & other people. The result, people who have NEVER been to an LSU home football game will once gain end up with tickets from LSU's allotment.

15% is going to the students. For whatever it's worth (not much) LSU is giving one more percent of allotment to season ticket holders at 58% v 57% LINK
So 73% of tickets are going to students and season ticket holders.

absolutely true...you get 3 points for the first hundred bucks and very little per hundred after that...
