When will Bama season ticket holders know

if they are getting tickets? Just wondering if LSU fans that are holding out hope for getting tickets from LSU before going the secondary market will be able to get a jump on Bama fans that are doing the same.

Good question... Sec rant might be able to answer

They will know by end of day December 7 as stated on RollTide.com credit cards will be charged then.

Hopefully LSU will be a couple of days ahead of their December 9th projection.

If Bama's notice is Dec 7th, then LSU needs to make sure they get the notices out before that date.

Well, it stinks that BAMA will know 2 days before LSU when they found out only 48 hours ago that they were even in the game.
Come on LSU ... it can't be that hard if Bama can get this done before you!

The whole "delay" always gets me. Points cutoff was 10/31 and the request for tickets deadline was 11/21. It would not take long for a computer to crank out the list of people gettings tickets assuming you have the data available. Heck, really all it ends up being is a huge mail merge which they do all the time when they dole out away game tickets.
But what I am willing to bet it's legislators and other government officials calling in favors. LSU has to grease the palms of the legislators that control state budgets. So in other words the number of tickets available to season ticket holders is in flux.

I think most LSU fans should know whether or not they're getting them. Broussard said the cutoff will be close to 4000 in the ranking.

Would be nice though to know an exact number. Close to 4000 can be quite a range though.

Here is a link to Bama's breakdown on tickets: LINK
If LSU uses the same exact breakdown and assuming EVERY SINGLE person in TAF requested their maximum the cut off will be TAF Rank 3745. Obviously there will be some room in there since surely somewhere someone was not eligible (not a season ticket holder) or didn't request/didn't request max he could. But I wouldn't expect it to matter much. If you're under 3745, I'd feel pretty good about my chances based on how Bama did their allotment.

Found this on a bama site.
The breakdown of Alabama’s 17,000-ticket allotment for BCS title game
Posted on December 6, 2011 | Leave a comment
The whole ticket issue will be interesting as the Jan. 9 BCS title game approaches. Two rabid fan bases living close to New Orleans will create chaos.
Alabama received a 17,000-ticket allotment to sell and distribute how they choose. (The Superdome seats 76,000-plus).
Here’s the plan the school has to use that.
Students: 12% (2,040 – band comes out of this)
Faculty/staff: 5% (850)
Lettermen: 10% (1,700)
Internal use: (2,600) estimated (player families, coaches, president, board, university staff)
Donors: 57% (9,690) estimated
The school said Sunday it was no longer accepting requests and will be mailing responses to those on the list Wednesday.

The letterman allotment to me is certainly different than I understand how LSU does things. TAF awards 5 points if one letters while at LSU so if you lettered for 4 years you've got 20 points which is a nice head start. So I assume LSU letterman go into the TAF pool though if you're a big enough name I'm sure someone will find you a ticket even if you've not donated.

Does anyone know how LSU plans on breaking down the tickets? I seem to remember something in the past showing it but I can't find anything on LSUSports.net website. I'm sure it won't be far off of what Bama is doing.

This is frustrating

Anyone heard anything yet? Lsusports account no longer shows BCS request in order history. I'm thinking that means I didnt make the cut. Got SECCG but I'm assuming BCS wont follow the same scale..

It's gone for everybody, I think.

I logged into my TAF account early this week and took a peak at my Account History Report. Under Ticket Summary it lists my season tickets and the tickets I received for LSU v Oregon. It also lists "NO ALABAMA" with a Qty of 2 which was the only road game I requested this season and did not get awarded tickets. But the very first item list in Ticket Summary is "CC NO PL3" with a Qty of 2. What in the world is that?

SECCG was able to get into the 8,000's in terms of rank. Obviously requests for the BCSCG are much higher.

When I checked mine before SECCG i showed tickets to Oregon and Tennesee and my season tickets. then in another section below that it showed SECCG and BCS request...I think. I dont remember seeing "CC NO PL3".
