Any way we can make this a 3 or 4 way deal that delivers us draft (lottery) picks. If CP3 forces our hand into a crappy trade with just the Knicks, I'm gonna hate him and boo him every chance I get.

I believe he'll do just this. He's already filthy rich and probably don't are about the $4-5 mil or so per year he'll be leaving on the table. And if this is his mentality, he's not going to sign an extension with anyone.

This is about to turn into a big mess

The problem people have with CP isn't that he want to go to the Knicks. It's that he has a year left on his contract and his agent and posse (broussard) are making it public that he doesn't want to be in NO anymore and trying to get him traded.

He should keep all this shite on the shelf until next offseason, or silently approach Demps about it.

frick the player run NBA.

If you want a team sport, watch football or *gulp* hockey.

NBA has turned into a one star per team league.

How dare an great player wanting to play for a good team, how dare he!!!

And he could have let this drag out all year, or better yet, he could have just left after this year and the Hornets not get much in return.

This way is best for all parties. I don't get why people don't realize that.

That being said, NYK has nothing to give us back lol.

this is the nbas problem, not pauls. every year there are a handful of superstars that do the same thing.

dont hate the player, hate the game.

You realize doing this now HELPS the Hornets, right?

For a real laugh, go check out some of the NYK forums. They're already talking about having CP/Melo/Amare/Howard, with DWill backing up CP. 10 straight championships, son!

1. The Knicks are a good team? Better than the Hornets?!? They're a fairly one-dimensional team in a great market and, much like the Heat, get burned when it comes to the quality of the supporting cast.

2. The butthurt comes from CP3 demanding that he go to New York and vetoing the possibility of LA, Boston, or anywhere else.

He can say he wants to go and talk to teams about extensions, but saying outright he wants New York is horseshite when the Knicks have nothing to give up unless they want to give up Melo or Amare.

Contract about 6 or 7 teams if these players want to re-live 80s style of NBA.

Melo/CP3/Amare is MUCH better than CP3 and the team he has here. Yes, that should be a no brainer for all of us to know that.

Or is it the butthurt of guys saying he demanded something when he actually ASKED for something?

Yea, I mean, how dare he try to dictate his future. The nerve!!! Seriously?

No team is giving up anything for him if they can't sign him long term. That is the ultimate problem.

With this coming out now, its going to be a long year in the Hive for CP3 if he sticks around & we can't trade him because he'll only go to NYK

Thank you, people get all upset and defensive when certain players don't want to live and play in a certain city anymore. Let them leave if they want to go.

He can dictate his future when his contract expires. Until then, he can STFD and STFU.

The league owning the team means this stance will likely hold, IMHO, as they didn't just lock out the players for this to break right before the league officially opens business again.
