I am tired of hearing this question. It is a fact at this point that both coaches are excellent. So the only difference is LSU's coach is not an a-hole/Egomaniac.

Why is it automatic that Saban is better? Les is a better man, person, father, father figure, role model, and will prove he's the better coach on Nov5

I am not sure, if I had to make a non-biased decision now, I would have to say Saban, but that is changing very quickly, and my respect for Miles is growing, this next game could very well change that and Miles could go ahead of him

While you can say subjectively Miles is more charming, you can also state objectively that Saban has won two championships at separate schools that you can't state about Miles.

Yet.

The coaches don't play the game. It's the players. The team that executes the called plays better will win.

Even though I would tend to believe Saban is a better coach overall you would be hard pressed to find a coach doing a better job than Miles this year.

Saban won two national championships at two different programs. He brought both programs back up to a top tier nationally. Thats the difference imo. This is not a knock against miles fwiw.

Freek I'm actually hoping that Les doesn't win at 2 different schools ... that'll mean he's left us!! I'm all for another 1 or 2 or 3 here though...

A head coach is only as good as their staff.

Yup! 2-2 as of now, both have NC under their belt with their current teams. Pretty stellar W-L records at their schools. Pretty even if you ask me.

Saban was such an arse and always acted as he was better than the university. Prime example was his latest rant about SEC expanding. Saban didn't want LSU anymore.

Miles is pure class. Miles repeatedly says he loves LSU and wants to stay here.

The answer is easy for any logical LSU fan (which are few and far between on this board)

Miles all day!

I don't hate to say it. Saban is not the better coach or Au would not have beat Bama last year...24-0 and lose. How can that make him a better coach? At LSU he would play too conservative. Miles pounds the D with a great running game to build up the score and run the time out.

Miles is a much better coach than Saban. Look at the distractions LSU has had this season and to be ranked # 1 is unbelieveable.......

no he is not. Not taking anything away from Miles, but Saban is the best coach in college football. Miles is on the next tier.
