... or do we look for a "big name" OC?

I personally like what I have seen from Stud, assuming we can continue to recruit well in the years ahead.

LSU's offense does have an identity--we look to soften up a defense and then bludgeon them in the second half.

To me, there is nothing wrong with a no-nonsense, pro style offense with some I formations including a smashmouth fullback.

I think a big key has been a dedicated QB coach, it sure seems to have benefited JL.

I am sorry this arrangement happened because Kragthorpe's illness, but at this point, I am happy with Stud and Krag in the booth as OC and QB coach.

No need to search any further, as far as I'm concerned--Stud and Krag long-term for me.

Maybe he is, but you are seeing a Krags/Miles offense this year, not a Stud one.

He could be, but lets see how he does against schools like Florida and Bama. I do like how things have been going.

Well an easy deduction is Crowton is gone and we are moving the offense with the same QB's & HC....

Read my Sig.....(Let's see how many we win now that Crowton is gone--looking good so far)

The most obvious difference is the wonderful absence of those last-second waves of substitutions for GC's ridiculous "packages."

The substitutions now are ordered and on the line of bringing in a fresh RB to replace one who is winded.

And of course, we go to 3-4 wideouts on 3rd and long or obvious passing situations, but there is no more of this pointless, willy-nilly "package" substitution.

Is LSU offensive line that good. Against Kentucky they were not getting the job done. we were looking for running room. The kind of running room that Alabama Offensive line did against the Florida gators Saturday night.
What do you think?

I think we are seeing a little more Krags than people realize. He is sitting right next to Stud in the box.

Kragthorpe is sitting right next to stud in the box. I would guess krags is calling the plays. How do you think lee got so much better? He is being coached up by krags and the play calling is building his confidence. Lee is improved because of Increased reps in practice and krags.

I like the identity that is being established, and it appears the offense has been simplified. This had helped reduce the number of penalties, and ridiculous Delay of Games that always occurred with Crowton.

I've been very pleased with what I have seen so far, and I am a Supporter. Unless things turn significantly downward, I say he's earned the job.

If we are winning with him as the OC...he is the answer.

Yes because at the end of the day Miles is the one pulling the strings. No need to bring in a big name to clash with Miles. That is the reason we had all the confusion/time management problems with Crowton. He and Miles were not on the same page. What we have is working and I think it will only get better with time.

As long as Krag's health holds up, the dual OC is working. If he has to step down, hire an OC.

I believe the same thing. I'm not familiar with the treatment of Parkinsons but I bet the meds slow down your reaction time. I may be wrong but Stud is up there making sure the plays are called smoothly. You know Les would never have called this process co-offensive coordinators.
