In your opinion, is this possibly SEC country? The atmosphere? The students? etc.

You have first hand knowledge.

I'm in Bridgeport south of Morgantown. At dinner we discussed how this is definitely not the south. Of course I'm comparing this to Nashville. Now this is only one comparison of the service we received at the restaurant which was great but not the typical southern charm and style. Will know more after the game experience. I have no doubt the fan passion is right up with any SEC school, it's very intense and great to see!!!

This is not a Bar B Que State! They love Hot Dogs and Biscuits, I see hot dog stands and Biscuit World's everywhere!

That would go over big in parts of Kentucky and Georgia. I know from some years I've spent in both places. They love their biscuits and gravy.

Yes, it's a Big Biscuit and Gravy chain throughout WV.

this alone should disqualify them. they should be required to sign legal documents making them change this before being allowed in.

I lived in Ohio from 1995-96. I traveled a lot for work and spent a fair amount of time in Fairmont, WV, about 25 miles south of Morgantown.

Rural WV is a complete shock to the senses. It's like jumping back 50 years in time. A lot of the barns have tobacco ads on the sides of them. Apparently this was very common before all of the information came out about the dangers of smoking. It's like the area is stuck in time in pre-1950s America... before suburbanization began.

The cities had a very old industrial/rust belt feel to them. Very similar to Pittsburgh, which is closer to WV than most probably realize. That having been said, my only experience in Morgantown is driving through it on the interstate.

It is a beautiful region. I've been to 44 states, and in terms for nature/scenery, I'd definitely say it is the best I've seen east of the Rockies.

I live 20 miles west of Athens Ga and Hot Dogs are big here. Not just the Varsity but they are everyplace. Like stand alone hot dog place with nothing else on the menu but fries or onion rings, lol.

Don't feel bad. There is no House in New Orleans either. It used to make me feel bad when on Sunday mornings when I had to go stand in line at Denny's

That's what I was thinking. It's just classic Southern food.
