First, most of you have not been involved in a college program, so let me try and clarify for you the level of "disrespect" you keep citing.......minimal.
For the bulk of the players not involved in the fight but missing curfew, it was nothing more than getting a chance to blow off steam after working their asses off. That's it. It has happened on a large scale to every coach at LSU from Charlie to Les. Get over it. Don't blow it out of proportion!
You don't fricking suspend them, you run them and keep the matter in your own house. We called it Breakfast Club and it was fricking awful.
Again, this doesn't apply to those who were fighting, but the remaininge alleged 50 or so who were at the bar.
Keep it in perspective if you've never been on an organized college atheltic prgram.

Oh no you are telling me they missed a CURFEW?!?!?!?!?!?!? what terrible people!!!!! I mean they are 22 and 23 years old 10:30 is plenty late enough. I said it before with the crew that was reported to be out Id be more worried if JJ hadnt been there. It would have told me a lot about whether the players who he needs to lead (starters) had trust in him/wanted him to start. If you think the guy sucks most likely you arent gonna be goin out with him also. He should have been the one to be there but also break up the fight some reports say thats what he was doing. I think we will have a much better idea on that come monday.

curfew is a minor thing
not for the Senior supposed leaders. I don't give a shite about what is normal or not, this is about JJ mis leading by example. It is more than his implication in criminal or civil charges.

Anything else?
Misses the point. It depends upon the circumstances. Who finds out, what's reported, to whom it's reported, how it's reported, who the offenders are, what the transgressions are. I
It's actually pretty service specific as well. In the Navy some old school officers and chiefs distrust pristine junior personnel. But if someone E-7/O-3 or above fricks up, they're done.

What's your point with this?
My point is your Inquision type attitude.
Breaking curfew isn't symptamatic of anything more than youth.
I should invoke the glass houses principle, except that in your case I am dealing with a self-proclaimed saint who has never done anything wrong and has zero tolerance for any body who ever has.

OK, so if Miles suspends some(the leaders specifically) for just curfew violations, then you and Gray shouldn't have a problem with it.
So those advocating it are not as off base as you two seem to think.

I am expecting Miles to do the same thing with JJ that he did with RP, IF JJ IS FOUND OUT TO BE GUILTY. If he doesn't, Miles will have shite for discipline from JJ and the rest of the team including the under class men from here on out.
We had no experienced QB's backing up RP and Miles "relieved him of duty" I don't see why he wont do it again with JJ. Miles is a goofy coach, but is a class act, I expect him to handle this with class and to make the right call. This is within his capabilities, now managing the clock in the final 2 minutes when we are trailing, maybe not, but this he will handle well.

Back in 1996 a senior was 2 minutes late for the first team meeting. He was kicked off the team only to be let back on later relegated to special team duty. If Dinardo can lose s team, so can Miles. Seniors breaking curfew is uncalled for, imo.

Yeah. Country's pretty much fricked now.
Try reading into a little thing called context. I was (and am) blistering at the fricking faux moral indignation. It's fricking curfew. Give me a break.
I've been clear on my feelings about the whole matter if they actually assaulted someone. The curfew thing is a joke.
I'm in the Navy, btw. We're one of the two branches that don't insist that people act like retards (j/k).

To put it in a military perspective, it would be like if 5 officers took out a bunch of e-1's and e-2's after curfew and got into a fight.
To those in the military or once were, this should sound ridiculous to you.

FWIW, I spent 8 years in the military (Army) and I never once heard a blanket party/GI shower referred to as a "Code Red".
"Code Red" was a term coined by Aaron Sorkin, a playwright who very likely wouldn't know the working end of a rifle from the other end.
Sorry for the hijack.
