Much more stable to stand on than any other ice chest, so yes.

If I buy a $400 ice chest... i wouldn't want to be standing on it. But yes it is a little more stable. But you can still stand on a regular ice chest just fine.

Yeah I was just kidding, but I know the feeling

Oh well, I always like to ask guys that wear stuff like that and obviously NEVER hunt/fish if they caught anything recently, it usually makes my day

In The Hull Truth, a boating site, they did a cooler test with Yetti ,Igloo, cloeman marine extreme and some other high priced brand. Coleman extreme marine won and they, depending on size, ar very inexpensive at Walmart. I have one on out boat and love it plus it is not NEAR the investment or target a Yeti would be.

I like them for one reason. I have been told that I am very rough on the equipment. A yeti can take the abuse. It doesn't hold ice good enough to justify the cost but it will hold up to the abuse. If you are easy on your equipment you probably don't need one. I know for a fact that mine has lasted longer than 4 or 5 regular brand ice chest. I can buy a 5 day coldmax by Coleman and tear the hinges off in a weekend or screw up the closure mechanism in a day. My 95qt yeti is still operational after 3 years of service. To me its the difference between buying a zebco 33 or a shimano curada. One cost a hell of alot more but it will be around much longer.

The Marpac Too Cool coolers are pretty nice for abuse/standing potential and a little cheaper, and it's made by yeti..

Like I said, I have been accused of being too rough on the equipment. I don't do it on purpose sh%t just happens. El Josey Wales will be along in a while to better explain my condition.

I cant give any particulars off the top of my head, but Choirboy is tough on equipment, just like me. I cant say that i would pay for a yeti myself, but i got one 5 years ago for a gift and i still have it and it works great. I have never had any other ice chest for that long without parts and pieces breaking. If you are storing ice, they will keep for a while. If you are fishing and drinking beer all day and opening it repeatedly, it wont really outperform a coleman.

I own at least 5 coolers of different sizes. All of them have at least one part either broken or missing.
