What kind of wines do you like to drink? I am drinking a lot of rose right now as it is just a great summertime wine.

Malbec for less than $10 bucks. Some are much more expensive, all good

Yeah, I've been drinking those lately. Seems like a great value.
I have one by Rigal open right now.

i like all kinds of wine, but i guess i'm looking for more than just a franzia-type suggestions. so anything besides the obvious yellow tail and jug-o-wines -- unless they are some phenomenal find.

fan of *and in ranking order* chardonnay, merlot, red and white blends, cab sauv, pinot noir, pinot grigio, sauv blanc... and so on after that

toured the Cakebread winery in Napa and it was my wife and I's favorite without a question. We bought a bottle from the winery and brought it with us for our anniversary dinner

retails around $30

i pretty much enjoy any Robert Hall I come across. not a whole lot of places in La. that i know of that have it, but they're usually around 20 bucks and are really nice.

i've seen some bottles of '06 Cab for $18 still on the shelf in Houston and rather enjoy it

If you like cakebread and conundrum, try fogdog when you get a chance.

"The Prisoner" is one of the better $30 bottles around. It's a red blend.

For a good $10 Malbec you can try Dante Rabino

For a good $20 -$25 Napa Cabernet, try Napa Cellars White Label. The '07 I had was great and I imagine the '08 will be a good wine as well.

...and everything I've had by Penley Estate has been good. This includes their Cabernet, the Shiraz, and even the Cabernet-Shiraz blend.

Frog's Leap Sauvignon Blanc works great with blackened salmon.
