This thread is retarded...the best player gets the offer, regardless of skin color. So black people get tons more offers at major programs...shocking. Especially at skill positions. How many white CBs do you see in the NFL?
I think the last one I can remember was Jason Seahorn and that seems like over a decade ago...

It's not about race genius. Miles is recruiting the best possible athlete. There's only 3 positions on a football field that white guys are most of the time better at. QB- We have more white than black QB's. P/K- See QB. O-line- I would say the races are awfully close in this department.

Nah, i'm just playing. I agree with the poster who said that not alot of white guys playing skill positions outside of QB. Just not the year of the white guy I guess

This question is like asking if Major League Baseball is going away from the African-American athlete, since the percentage of US-born black players has been in steep decline. LSU and MLB are going to take the best athletes available to them.
Great athletes have choices about which sports they play. Why, despite the fact that it is a ubiquitous youth sport, does the U.S. not have a dominant national soccer team? It's simple. Our best athletes choose to play other sports.
Basically, more and more black kids are concentrating on football and basketball. Baseball is becoming more white (and hispanic). Hockey has been and still is mostly white. Nascar, swimming, lacrosse, etc.
If you are a sociologist analyzing cultural trends, then you get a pass. Otherwise, I would have to guess that you're a somewhat racist guy who feels sad that there aren't more white players on your football team. I feel sorry for you.

That's a fair question...I was a minority on my HS track team...don't consider this racist; but a healthy discussion. I would get asked the question why don't they have more starting black QB's in the NFL or in general?? I understood the concern... Did they pass the "eye test"? No that's just a white position? Also with the new Rooney-rule giving more black coaches opportunities.
Should there then be a "Sehorn Rule" if the NFL is so concerned with diversity?? Eric Weddle(shut down Mega-tron in Bowl) could easily be a starting CB yet moved to safety...Steve Gregory, Chris Conte, Chris Prosinski, Jim Leonhard can all play CB...But instead have been converted to Safety.
It is just now begining to swing the other side...it starts with all the Recruiting Services...i it because these experts feel skill white players simply don't pass the "eye test"; that blacks battle at QB?? Perception?? According to the experts at Rivals the Louisiana HS Top 40 in 2012 has NOT ONE single white player! Check it out! Are whites simply playing more baseball; soccer; rugby; LaCrosse; MotorCross?
Why is RB-Danny Woodhead(better than Joe McKnight) said to resemble the "team trainer" in the airport?? Yet Kevin Faulk(only 5'-8" too) was never mentioned this way in his younger days?? WHY? preception..the white boy should not be pigeon-holed to always be the QB or O-Lineman....
WHY is Heisman Runner-up Toby Gerhart continued to be labeled a "Fullback" at Indy Combine...faster 40 time 4.53 to 4.58 than Dexter McCluster...yet power-backs Anthony Dixon; LaGarrete Blount; Charles Scott; Jonathan Dwyer never a breath about Fullback with much slower times?? Perception!
Peyton Hillis is scr*w*d by his former coach Emenim McDaniel w/ Broncos ...Rated by the "Experts" as NFL Best Back-up "Fullback"...yet becomes the first white NFL RB 1,000 yard + season in 25 years for the Browns! OPPORTUNITY! Maybe he & Woodhead are changing this perception finally?? Heck anyone still remember his 65 yard TD jaunt vs BCS Champ LSU in 07??

No doubt...Louisiana is truly blessed with some tremendous black athlete's; and they love some football!...but those here that are labeled "Racist" might just like to sprinkle a little salt w/ the pepper...even if that means ONLY 2 white starters on Def(Steltz or Kyle Williams)wanting to start 11 would be....But ZERO white starters on LSU D for the 2nd year in a row??
