because I don't think Michael Ford did anything wrong last year and Ford has more experience, if you want to call it that considering they're both "freshmen."

I still REALLY REALLY like Michael Ford, but if Ware does this on a regular basis.....How can one argue against starting Ware?

he will do that on a consistent basis, great oline and if JJ improves a tad bit he will have a 1000 yard season with Ford having 600+

I think both will be better backs than Ridley.

And we'll have them BOTH in the backfield getting playing time. Now THAT'S scary.

You're correct about it being hard to argue against starting Spencer Ware. I think Michael Ford will get plenty of carries, as well. I like both of them, and Gore shows lots of promise, as well.

Let's hope that our fullback play continues to improve.

Jakhari Gore as a change of pace guy

Tabari Williams as back backup

The rumor I heard was that Ford missed a curfew in Atlanta during UNC week by a shitload, which pushed him to the end of the line.

The hit on Ford during the spring last season was that he looked timid. Ware had no problems coming in and bowling people over on day 1.

They'll both get plenty of reps. Ware just showed he is a special player and separated him self last year and over the spring.

Ford will do great things, and may even have a games better than Ware. We can only hope they compete and push each other.

Ford and Ware are both special backs. What I think makes Ware better are his instincts. When he hits a hole, it's almost like he anticipates it opening up. Very fast to the hole. Same thing with a defender. He seems to naturally get the balance and timing of a hit to make the defender miss or get a few extra yards. Ware also has pretty good hands. I really think he's going to be special.

Ford is strong and fast, but I haven't seen him do the same things as Ware consistently.

There nothing cautious about my optimism for Spencer Ware. I think he's going to be a special back for LSU.

And whomever said Ridley was serviceable, come on. 4th round draft pick, one of the fastest shuttle times at the combine. Ridley is a good back. Not a game changer but he was good, much better than "serviceable". Our offense came to depend on the running game, specifically Ridley and the line.

They have so many good running backs this year that I think it would be wise to redshirt Kenny Hilliard. Ware, Ford and Gore should all get a lot of touches this season. (Not a huge Blue fan)

This is the problem Oregon faces as well as they prepare for LSU. There are so many unknowns on offense, yet so many play-makers that anyone can hurt you if you don't game plan properly.

All of the backs at LSU have been recruited for a specific reason, as each meets a certain skill-set needed on our offense. Some players develop quicker than others, just depends on the player.

I think we have a problem that a lot of teams would love to have, and I'm just going to enjoy all of our backs, receivers, etc. contributing to a NC.

That was a freaking sick run. the move he makes on #1 was barry sanders like. Holy crap. the guy was in good tackling position, had a great angle, used proper technique, broke down correctly and still got shook to his knees. Ridiculour.
