Anyone else excited about this coming out? Arcade style action where you can pit your favorite wrestlers past and present. I am not a huge wrestling buff but can't wait for this to waste some time on. I was addicted to the original SmackDown on PS1 and played that for hours on end. I hope this can be just as good for a casual gamer like myself.

While the concept is cool the gameplay is gonna be horrible. Buttons will be confusing/unresponsive and the game will be buggy as hell. It looks extremely rushed and is just an attempt to grab a few easy $$$. If u really wanna wrestle wit old school guys give legends of wrestlemania a try

Didn't he pass away? That would be a huge obstacle to get around

I think the problem with it is if he failed to leave a will, who truly decides on if his likeness can be used in video games? With Andre The Giant, I'm pretty sure that The Big Show was given that right to do so.

i am actually interested in this game, but im pretty sure smack down wasnt on ps1, let alone even a show back then. I remember playing wwf attitude though. The first time they had an extensive create a player. I would spend hours on that shite.

Speakin of classic wrestling games, anyone remember the first Wrestlemania for SNES? Was so frickn disappointing cause everyone had the same set of moves with no finishing moves.... NO FINISHING MOVES!! So when my friend and I played we'd fight over who gets to play as Macho man cause then you could do an elbow off the top and pretend to do a finisher. When royal rumble finally came with finishers it was like

My bad, been awhile since I even followed wrestling. I remembered they both suffer/ed from acromegaly and tied them together because of that.

quote:

Paul Wight, better known as The Big Show, more similar in body structure to André than any other wrestler since André's death, was originally billed as the son of André the Giant during his stint in WCW (when he was known as simply The Giant) despite no biological relation

Shows you how long ago I stopped watching. I knew I remembered hearing it, but obviously it wasn't truthful

I do think he has a family member/relative that works for the company

I don't remember the name of it but my favorite arcade game used to be a WWF game with Jake the Snake, Demolition (with Crush), Big Boss Man, Ted Dibiase, Hulk, Warrior, Etc.
