What criteria is used in choosing a Mcdonalds AA.?

I was wondering if Johnny Obryant had a shot,seeing that patrick young was choosen last year with a similiar ranking as Obryant,but then I looked and saw that john wall didnt make it.

I don't know if JOB will make it. 5 have already been unofficially confirmed by the kids themselves. a Louisville commit and 4 UK commits.

You're only allowed two all star games I believe, wall chose two others. I think there's actually a little emphasis on the high school season with mcdonalds as well, so if he's been dominating he'll have a better shot

It's very political. It has a lot to do with what AAU program a kid plays for, who he's committed to, etc.
It's a great honor, but there are always a few "WTF" situations of certain players pick, as well as certain players not picked.

Wall was in hs for 5 years so he wasnt eligible for the McDonald's game.
