Have they already started to sell tickets to the game? Are they already sold out if so. If not, when will they start selling individual seats and how much will I have to pay. Just looking for some basic info.

TAF will not allocate tickets for season ticket holders until June 1st, so probably July before the would go on sale to the general public, if there are any left.

what about student tickets? Have any students in the know received any emails from the ticket office concerning when the students get an opportunity to buy their tickets for the oregon game?

Does anyone know how much of the stadium is being allocated to the 2 schools, and how much is being sold directly by Cowboys Stadium (which I'm told will be selling through Ticketmaster)?

I went to the TCU/Oregon St game last year, and bought my tickets through Ticketmaster. I bought 50 yard line club seats, many of my friends bought through TCU and had tickets in the corners and the end zones. Take it for what it is worth...I will be buying my tickets through Ticketmaster for this game.

That's pretty much where I came out. I got tickets to the Cotton Bowl this year through LSU and ended up in the same flight pattern as planes landing at DFW. I just am trying to get a feel for how much of the stadium is given to Ticketmaster to sell, and how much is allocated to the 2 schools.

I'm going to try and buy directly through cowboys stadium as well. For the cotton bowl I had horrible seats going through LSU.

Getting tickets to this game will not be a problem. The capacity is around 85,000 and I think you will see around 8-10,000 empty seats for this one.

TexanPete,

I may be wrong, but I'll bet this game sells out early. Dallas is a city of transplants, Louisiana is not far away, Cowboy Stadium is an attraction (despite its recent bad press) and this may be a top 10 matchup to kick off the season. I'm not waiting around for tickets.

Don't count on it.

I'm not doubting LSU will bring a lot of fans. I'm estimating 40,000 (which may be the biggest Tiger turnout for an out-of-state neutral site game ever), but where will the other 45,000 come from?

Oregon fans may bring 5,000, locals/generic college football fans may account for 30,000, so that leaves about 10,000 empties.

....wrong! Too many LSU fans in E. Texas...plus North La...if they can sell them...they'll be 70K LSU folks there.

Highly unlikely.

There are a lot of East Texan Tigers, but not every one of those fans will be able to make the game. Even if they did, we wouldn't come close to the number you proposed.

I'm sticking with the 35-40K I estimated earlier.

If you guys don't sell out a neutral game site when you're gonna be a top 5 team, and then you say you have the best fans in the game....it doesn't add up.

All that said, i can't see tiger fans not going out to support their boys in the 1st game against an OOC power

You may be right. I think the answer is somewhere in between. Even if LSU brings 70k, the game still won't sell out. I can't imagine Oregon having 15k fans there.
