A lot of nimrods on here were not blown away by the Chavis hire either but I think we can all agree that turned out alright. Miles is 2.5 to 1.5 on coordinators at LSU(.5s being Crowton). I'll trust him for now.

Great idea. That way, after the fact we can all say i told you so no matter how it turns out. Let's not have the respectability to put our balls on the table and state an opinion beforehand.

Not many folks were high on hiring a guy from Michigan State with a So So record at one point either.

ahh -- winning changes everything.

Yes -- trust our coach... if it doesn't work out... he'll make a change and he'll know when to do so.

I trust him in filling his staff.

Why do people always think it's ballsy to have an opinion? Nobody really knows how this hire is going to turn out. Nobody even has much of an educated guess, because his record is inconsistent.

Apparently Les likes him. If you think Les is a moron, you probably don't trust him and think Krag is a dud. If you are lukewarm on Les you are probably lukewarm on Krag. If you like Les you trust him. Real ballsy stuff.

I know you're just using a metaphor but being wrong on a message board doesn't generally have very negative consequences.

I'm very OK with this hire. None of them come with guarantees, so it's performance that counts. Coach K has a lot of good credentials at other places, and I know of the UL situation - it was a no-win time to be their coach after Petrino's departure.
