Ok so I just recently moved to a new location in B.R. (Sherwood and coursey). I'm looking for some suggestions on new places to try. I'm somewhat familiar with this area, I've been to the Londoner, taco y burrito express, south of philly, and a few other local spots. Just want to make sure that I don't miss any thing that I shouldn't.

Pocorello's for sure: try the roast beef poboy or the meatballs

China Express (not as good as it used to be, but still fairly good for a hole-in-the-wall place)--egg rolls & Mandarin Chicken are both good

Thee Heavenly Donut (formerly Meche's Donut King)

Sherwood/Course is not a very hip place to live, but for some reason it is the best spot for eating in the greater Baton Rouge area.

There's the Duang Tawan or whatever it's called behind the Applebees. They have all sorts of Asian/Thai/Jap dishes.

Himalayas' (Indian and Nepali): Some of it is reheated, and you get pretty crappy service, but for some reason I enjoy going there.

Arzi's Express: If you don't care about the men begging women to date them while picking their ear wax out, talking on the phone, and handling money all while handling your food and salad.. then be my guest. I avoid this place now after a few bad experiences.

Chimes East is on Coursey, towards Airline Hwy. It's good bar food. It's a chain version of the original, which is located by LSU and stays packed.

Waka House: Good sushi.

In no order...Dempsey's cup and a half, Ronnie's Ribs lunch buffet, Thai Chili next to the Neighborhood Walmart, Waka House, Bay Leaf.

LA Cajun Seafood will probably have the best boiled crawfish within your proximity, and Tramonte's is worth checking out.

Jones Creek Cafe has good seafood and cheap pitchers of beer.

Be sure to bring cash though.
