Buckeyes should say screw you to the NCAA

Sit them in the Sugar Bowl. It's the right thing to do. If the NCAA doesn't have the balls to do it then the university should.
I'm going to the Sugar Bowl and paying a boatload of money to do so. I'll support whatever players are there but I wouldn't mind seeing the 5 with their asses firmly planted on the bench or better yet left back in Ohio.

I bet Tressel is considering it, especially since they sold their rings.

This happened in 2008 2009; five games is harsh enough. I'm not paying big money for bauserman to get butt raped

Someone send this sentiment to Auburn University (or is it now officially Auburn Football Tech?). Not that it will matter. But still...

It's not about you. It's about doing the right thing and showing the NCAA what is right.

I agree and if it was LSU I would feel the same way. Hell, if Ridley really cheated, I'm glad he's ineligible and he shouldn't play even if that causes us to lose our best offensive player.
Universities need to get back to integrity. True integrity, not situational integrity. I'm sick of it and its making me lose faith in the sport.

I think it would be better for Ohio St. if the 5 game suspension started now.

I'd rather have them sit now as well. It might even increase the chances of the coming back, even though I'm so pissed I don't care if they all leave.

Did the NCAA explain why they are allowed to play in the bowl game ?

I am pretty sure, from the way the release reads, that OSU petitioned for them to play in the Sugar Bowl.

you're part of the problem. You can review my post. I am not at all into name calling and all but, this attitude is what got us where we are. Its greed and always comes back to money. Again, I apologize in advance to you bro. This is not a personal attack towards you.Posted on 12/23/10 at 1:47 pm to igoringa

The way I'm understanding it right now Ohio State initially had them sitting out the Sugar Bowl but the NCAA stated they were eligible for that game and that suspensions were to begin next season.

I can't remember what buckeye fans i was talking to, but a week or so ago there was a thread and someone told me they thought Tressel would w/o a doubt do the right thing if they were in a situation similar to Arkansas last year. Petrino made two starters and a back up miss the bowl game for simply missing curfew.
looks like we get to find out.

Sitting a couple of starters in the Liberty Bowl isn't exactly the same as sitting a 3 year starting QB in the Sugar Bowl.

I still can't wrap my head around the fact that they're eligible to play. It makes both OSU and the NCAA look awful to let them compete in the bowl game after they get caught blatantly breaking the rules.

It's this attitude that is the reason the NCAA is so fricked up. It should not matter WHAT game it effects.
by that logic, Ridley should NOT be sitting out the Cotton Bowl.
ETA: regardless of who makes the decision-the ncaa or the school. that logic is what starts the bs

The NCAA has always been a joke. What a corrupt, piece of shite organization.
