re: Shooting Dogs

I do not know if I would have shot the dogs this morning or not.
I spend alot of money and time on my lease. I do not get to hunt alone very much and it was aggravating to have that happen on one of my only solo trips. But I get to hunt alot with the kids.
To have dogs running very close to you all morning will drive you nuts(unless they push that big buck on me then its ok)
If I was someone who spent the money and time I do and only hunted a few times I probably would shoot them out of frustration.

I used to catch a few dogs when I trapped. The mean ones were easy to kill. I had one lay on it's back and allow me to take the traps off his feet(had two in one spot). He had a collar.

It's not a dog issue, its a human issue and your inability to figure this out. Some of us have higher level cognitive abilities than you. It's about respect.

This is where age becomes a factor. I am sure "your property" is your dads.
Your statement was beyond stupid.
I see roger is still on his age high horse.
and yes... it is a dog issue and a Dog is not a fricking human. Jesus you sound like a woman or a little kid who thinks dogs are the same as you and I. A dog is a pet, an object, yes it means a lot to someone but it is a possession. A possession that you should take responsibility for. If you continue to ignore the responsibilities, consequences are inevitable, and most hunters who continue to have their hunts ruined or deer run off will get tired of a saying "NO, bad dog!" and taking a pet back to it's owner. Stop trying to put blame on the hunters.

Not to many here apparently.
Alx stfu. How many dogs would just wander around and not bother to chase off any different type of game. It's what they were born to do. Not all dogs hang out in some dumb blonde's purse.

Complete new topic. We had some guys on our lease trapping last Feburary while we were squirrel hunting with dogs. The trappers did not have our permission. Thankfully no squirrel dogs were caught in a trap. We may have needed law enforcement if that would have happened.

This fella better watch his step around some of ya'll dog slayers!
I have killed wild dogs that were clearly chasing deer, same as a coyote in my opinion. And I really get pissed when they eat my rice bran.

I see you are one of those "if it moves and is legal, kill it" people. Those people are not hunters, they are shooters.
Dogs can be expensive property. SOme kid leaves the gate open and your neighbors expensive dog comes on your property, you don't have to shoot it.

We'd be glad to have you on our side! I have shot a dog with a bow before as well. He was a stray and in very bad shape and ran laps around my tree for about an hour. I did him a favor.

A feral wild dog is no different than any other nuisance animal. A collared dog is another persons property. Big difference IMO.
