Wow. You totally do not understand the issue, or have the ability to comprehend it.
If your kid wanders on the neighbors property, does he have the right to punish the kid? No matter what you think about pet dogs, they are are extremely important to some people.
It's not a dog issue, its a human issue and your inability to figure this out. Some of us have higher level cognitive abilities than you. It's about respect.

Emotional irrational people who endear less evolved animals with human cognition and emotion are unable to see that a pet that is uncontrolled and destructive is a pest. It is not my responsibility to fence 1000 acres so a dog cant get it, it is the owners responsibility to control the animal. Refusal to be responsible for the dog and controll it leaves the property owner with two options, 1. accept the abuse of thier rights and proerty, or 2. protect them.
Wow, this is really poor reasoning and writing. No one is doing what you think they are doing. They are just saying that shooting a pet is wrong. Accepting responsibility means what? Others can kill it? You're making no sense.

If your kid wonders onto my property while I'm hunting he will be arrested for trespassing. No questions asked

This is where age becomes a factor. I am sure "your property" is your dads.
Your statement was beyond stupid. I highly doubt you even believe what you typed.

then you either don't hunt or don't know anything about the effect on a deer population in an area heavily populated by coyotes
Nah, not really. They can have their share. If anything, there's too many deer on some of the places I hunt. Many members refuse to take their does and culls.

I believe what I typed. If the kid is young, cops will take him home and birch at teh parents. If he's old enough to know he's wrong, they'll ticket him

How old is this kid? I agree with you but saying the above statement is a gateway to the people who say their kid didn't deserve the death penalty just for trying to steal a car. I catch you on my place trying to harm me, my family, or my property then the rules change.
An innocent dog wandering around is no harm no foul.
A wild dog trying to harm or disrupt and again the rules change!

so there are no consequences for trespassing?
And you are doing far more chicken shite arguing than anyone else.

jeez there aren't many brain cells floating around in this thread.

BTW, my current dog really does need a bullit to the head. I can't do it. Where are some of these dog shooting properties? She's black and brown with an LSU collar. About 18 lbs and 15" tall.

Shooting Dogs
From the other thread...
Anyone shoot dogs when they see them in the stand? They certainly have ruined plenty of hunts for me.
you stole my thread, I wanted to start this one last week but forgot
I shoot them, they are trespassing.

Of course there are. If my neighbors dog or kid wanders on my property, I am civil enough to give him some notice before either shooting or calling authorities.
