Pretty sure we could pry someone away from a school like those. Hell..we could in all farness steal back Jimbo. However, the sooner the better if it did happen.

this was in another thread.
2006 Tulsa ranked #24 in total offense – OC: Current Nicholls St. Head Coach, Charlie Stubbs
2007 Tulsa ranked #1 in total offense – OC: Gus Malzahn; Paul Smith at QB
2008 Tulsa ranked #1 in total offense – OC: Gus Malzahn; David Johnson at QB
2008 Auburn ranked #104 in total offense – OC: Tony Franklin/Steve Ensminger; Chris Todd at QB
2009 Auburn ranked #16 in total offense – OC: Gus Malzahn; Chris Todd at QB
2010 Auburn ranked #7 in total offense – OC: Gus Malzahn; Cam Newton at QB
Malzahn woulnd't need to take the risks Miles does because Malzhan would not coach his team down to the talent of the other team. Or do you honestly think the McNeese St game showed how great they are?
Malzahn has been a pretty decent recruiter. Kids are going to want to come to LSU, not because Miles. They want to come because it is LSU.
Not all the attention Miles brings to the program is positive attention.
And Malzahn's stats show he can build a offense. If he were to bring in a good DC he could be heads and shoulders better then Miles with LSU's talent.
Motivate players? We are LSU he shouldn't have to motivate players. We should go out there and demolish teams with the talent we have. The reason we don't is Miles sit back attitude and inability to coach a QB, OLine, or a team. Miles is a great CEO Coach. But you have to have good recruiters to do that. Crowton is not the answer and i'm starting to question Chavis.

Your a nega tiger..
Change is not always good. Everything you showed me validates Malzahan as a offensive coordinator a great one at that. I have no doubt he can run an offense and develop a QB. But manage a whole team adn be the man is a different scenario. Greater men have failed before him at this.
He isnt a great recruiter. and has only had to recruit Qbs. and thats if you count Mustain going to Springdale. he inherited Paul Smith.
in another thread we showed that the same Tulsa team has been steady before him adn after him.
I am not trying to deminish his value but i dont want a Malzahn over a proven SEC coach that has won a National Championship and SEC title. Oh BTW he is a known outstanding recruiter. ask PP adn AJ. ( EPSN even acknodgled this by giving him a commercial)
Not too many head coaches have commercials maybe 10 or 12.
Les maynot be the best thing that has ever happened to SU but he is a good thing. I have spoeken with both former players and recruits and they love thsi guy. We are fans and all we care about is wins and loses. alot stuff goes on behind closed doors. I dont think its a suprised we were able to pull off in my opinion a miracle season.

Auburns offense is built off of the best college player we have seen play with out veryown eyes. He is a monster. He would have made Miss State a 9-3 10-2 team with out Malzahn.
If thast the case pay him the money he wants to be our offensive coordinator. why get rid of our head coach and hire him.

Yes I'm questioning Chavis. Look at a bunch of the games this season. We made UNC look like All-Americans without their star WR and both RB's They put up 436 yards of offense. Mississippi State put up 268 yards of offense to our 264 yards of offense. Auburn put up 526 yards of total offense. Alabama put up 325 yards. 4-7 Ole Miss put up 420 yards of offense on Chavis D. And Arkansas put up 464 yards of offense on us.
So who did Chavis hold under 300 total yards? Vandy, Mississippi State, West Virginia, Tennessee, Florida, McNeese State(even tho they put up 219 on LSU), and Louisiana Monroe.
After those stats you tell me which one of us is "dumber".
And for the one calling me a nega tiger you can pump yourself with all the sunshine and rainbows you want. If you want to believe Crowton deserves his paycheck then you are sadly mistaken. Miles has shown he can be a good "father" figure and a solid recruiter, but in the time he has been LSU the physicality of each team has dropped. The O-Line is weak, QB development is sad, and our 5* WR's are no where close to potential. He is paid to coach not nurture kids.
I will say Chavis is better then what we did with the CoDC thing in 08 but Chavis isn't as good as some think.
