Vandy wouldn't approve the payment for Heisman Trophy-caliber players.

Not that big of a deal. Not many people want to coach at Vandy as you have to play in the SEC East, and even if you can win the east you still have to play another West team.

Vandy needs to find some young blood.

Really though, does Malzahn have to sit on the Vandy job for two days. The longer he waited you knew he had cold feet.

yeah I think is a good move by Malzahn but he has done nothing to prove his self worth as a Coach except in high school. If he wins the national title maybe some bigger programs will want him but Vandy is a tough gig one that could go eitehr way. lose for the next 5 years or get it back like Bobby Johnson had it going for a few seasons there.

I think he should wait till he wins and see wat other offers are coming to him. But i dont for a second beleive that he will be returning to aubrun next year.

Malzahn does not mind being at a dirty school. Just look at the way he got the Arky job.

If it really was close to $3 million, I would have taken it with a nice buyout, could be a coach killer job though although it got Dinardo a better job and Johnson had chances to leave as well.

Be carefull what you ask for.

Who do you want to replace him.

Who can Recruit better than him
Bring as much attention as him
Take as many risk as him
Motivate players like him.

Dont get me wrong he is a trip sometimes but he fits right with us at LSU. It works.

he took a 7-5 teams this season and went 10-2. Quit punishing him for bad clock management and poor QB play.

If he doesnt get rid of GC i still will back him but it does change things slightly. Thast too much of a risk. Trust him he will do the rigth thing.
