La Boca Steakhouse in N.O. Any thoughts?

Plan on going next weekend. Taking wife out away from kids. Anyone been?

It is an awesome place. They specialize in unusual cuts of meat and do a damn good job at it. The wine list is also well priced and enjoyable because they let you order half bottles if you don't want a whole bottle.

You have to go. Place is good, also i think it just won best steak house in Nola too. The sister restaurant Rio Mar is great also, but seafood....

Go with a group of at least 4 and get the Chef Tasting menu. Worth every penny!

it's good. i don't recommend the 'skin-on' steak, though. they have to cook it well-done to get the skin to crisp, the waiter claimed it would still be juicy due to the cut of the meat having lots of intramuscular fat. this was the case in parts of it but not most.

but maybe i just got a bad one. anyway i went there with a group and everything else was awesome, so i would still recommend it
