I don't think he is an elite QB but this is crazy. While QBing an 8-4 team: he is 13th in comp %, 10th in yards, 12th in TDs, 11th in QB rating, and only has 8 INTs.

So basically he is above average in everything. Since you think he is below average, I would LOVE to see the 16 QBs you think are better than him.

He compiles great statistics against mediocre competition but doesn't show up in the big games. In the rare occasions the Ravens actually do win big games, it's usually in spite of Flacco.

He's progressing ok so far in his 3rd year. I never hear anyone pump him up like a few others.

Most overrated would go to Palmer every year. I never understand the fluffing he gets.

Blew a 10 point fourth quarter lead to Tom Brady and company. The Ravens had plenty of opportunities to put the Pats away but couldn't get anything going on offense during the late stages of that game.

Played like shite for most of the game. Had like less than 100 yards passing going into the fourth quarter. It was a very mediocre effort until the final drive. Ryan outplayed him by a mile.

Overrated? He has the highest qb rating in the league since week 5. I don't hear anyone mention him as being in the upper echelon of QBs, or even close to it. No way he's overrated.

Flacco blew a 10-point lead?
Pretty impressive.

Exactly, the guy falls to shite against anyone worth a damn and hasn't progressed an inch since his rookie season.

And can I name 16 better QB's than him? Probably not, but that doesn't mean he's any good. The QB position is garbage right now.

Eli is a great choice.

I agree, no one throws out Flacco as elite. He's a good QB, and he's still very young.

If you think 250 yards a game 5 TDs and 1 pick against 2 of the 5 best teams in football is bad, you must think every QB sucks.

Against the Miami (4th best passing D) he put up 266, 2 TDs 0 picks
Against Carolina (7th best passing D) he put up 301, 1 TD 0 picks
Against Tampa (9th best passing D) he put up 288, 2 TDs 1 pick

But he doesn't do shite against good Ds

I've been hating on flacco for weeks now...look it up if you're so inclined

Nothing reactionary about my stance

How does one get statistically better in virtually every category but not progress?

By adding Anquan Boldin and TJ Houshmanzadeh and having Ray Rice emerge

Watch him, he still does a great statue imitation and over shoots WRs on the reg

Do you think Flacco is better than Eli?

i didnt say that. They are pretty close, but Eli is looked at as "elite"

both are low 2nd tier NFL QB

QB ratings:

cassell 98.4
brees 94.6
flacco 93.2

Flacco is closer to Brees this year than Brees is to the great Matt Cassell.

I agree that Eli is probably the most overrated.

I don't know that I've seen anyone say he is a top 5 QB this year.
