I really find it very odd some of you think this.. Leach would have won the SEC this year at LSU. His offense would have put up more points than Auburn could keep up with.

And the defense (unless he is forced to hire a Chavis type) would surrender the most points in the league.

Jason Garrett would be my top Choice for LSU HC.

Second would be Kevin Sumlin.

If anything goes down w/ Miles, that TAF jet's first destination needs to be Lincoln, Nebraska.

Even if Miles left at the end of December or early January, the coaches that would be at the top of the heap for LSU will still be in play. There will not be a lot of turnover of "top" coaches this year. There simply are not many big openings (The U, maybe Michigan, maybe UCLA...that's it.)

LSU would pursue Gary Patterson (who will still be at TCU), Muschamp (who will still be at UT), Dan Mullen (who will still be at State), and maybe Del Rio (who will likely be unemployed anyway). (I am sure they will throw a shout out to Gruden too to appease the masses).

Miles is not going anywhere and even if he did, this place is more attractive now than ever. Top coaches would recognize that if Miles can win there, anyone can win there.

Side note: My personal preference for a coach would be Mullen. I think he will always be a college coach, he is young and very dedicated. He could coach here for 20+ years and win a lot of games.

All of whom would be fine choices as well.

I can also see that. I can also just as easily see it being shot down extremely quickly.

If Les went to Michigan they would be respectable immediately and we would take a huge step backward.

i don't think RR is going anywhere this year. He's got 1 more season to get it right and then he's gone.

I doubt Miles would even be seriously considered by Michigan anyway.

Actually, I think he's first or second choice, depending on how they view Harbaugh's NFL ambitions.

The guy is whacky and I don't see him running a major program. If he was money as you think why did Tech run him?
