Last night was my 10 yr olds first time at an LSU game. Because the AF had kept us away from home we do not get to see the Tigers play live hardly ever. So last night we were excited, standing, and cheering!!! This was a pivotal game with a lot to prove. We were standing during many third downs for our defense. Numb skulls behind us asked us to sit down because the could not see. I am sorry you are at an LSU FOOTBALL GAME not the opera!!!! If you wanna worry about sitting down and seeing the game sitting your stick in the mud butt at home on your couch!!!!!! I had eyes watching me (my 10 yr old) so I couldn't tell this dude what I really wanted to say. Never thought I would see that from LSU fans. No wonder Tiger stadium is turning into a shadow of what it once was. People like that need to give me their season tickets and eat their Brie and drink their wine on their couch at home!!!!! Wusses!!!!!! Geaux Tigers!!!!!

Hope the boy had a good time, and you did the right thing by not tearing the arsehole behind you a new one!

I'll cut you some slack on the TS comment and assume you were actually in the SWAMP in Gainsville...

As for the guys behind you.... glad you didn't get into it with them.... I ASSUME they were LSU fans, not Gators?

Also -- you have the right to stand and they have the right to sit. I think a good compromise is for you to sit most of the time and only stand when it's a critical situation --- 3rd downs, special teams plays, critical downs, etc.

Thank the LSUAD/TAF for that. They've priced out many long time LSU die hards and replaced them with Corporate freaks and many that don't really give a shite about the program.

I COULD stand the entire game but am not so rude and arrogant to do that and block the view of those who can't or don't want to stand. I've always thought the "Stand when you're supposed to stand on kickoffs, big third downs, after touchdowns, during big plays and on big defensive plays, then sit your arse down" is the best policy......

Yes I was at the Swamp and was referring to what everyone on here is always referring to about TS these days. These people SAT the WHOLE game!!! I know I am not in the student section and standing during the whole game is frowned on but these were major moments in the game.

Okay. So, he said all of those complaints followed by, "no wonder TS is a shadow of what it once was, and he talked about tiger fans. Any semi-literate, half retarded, tiger fan would think he is referring to an experience there. You continue to believe otherwise.

Just stab yourself in the head with a spork for being the morning dumbass!!!

I think they should take the seats outta TS and make it standing room only.

He said the AF, which I take to mean the Air Force, has kept him away from home . . . so I also assume he got to see the Tigers on the road.

Ah yes, the "only poor people can be passionate about LSU football" line.

I made the mistake of giving some people on this board too much credit in thinking they would know we were at the Swamp last night. Didn't realize I would have to completely spell it out for those reading. Forgot some on here were college brainiacs that know it all and love to be a bunch of smart asses.

I was surprised that the Swamp wasn't that loud. I was expecting constant noise from reports I had gotten from others. They only got really loud at the end. I have definitely heard TS louder than the Swamp for entire games.
As far as the Florida fans go they weren't too bad till the end of the game and then there were are few that started mocking our 1st down cheers and such. After the game overall consensus was that they were sore losers. There was an old lady (Gator fan) who started talking to my son about the game and when he started to give his take on something she cut him off. Then accused him of getting "smart" with her. At that point I just told him to stop talking and just head to the car. Last thing I needed was to get into a shouting match with an old Gator fan for yelling at my 10 year old.

It was damn frustrating, I tell you. We were the only people in the stadium, and the guy never, NEVER, sat down. Not once.

I mean, there was not one person in front of him. There was no reason for him and his kid to stand the entire time

I almost moved to an empty seat, but was afraid someone would show up, and make me move back
